    calories

Your calories do seem excessively low for an active person. I burn in excess of 500 calories when I do a good workout and therefore its no wonder you feeling light headed. Your body needs fuel and if you're not giving it enough perhaps your body is in starvation mode and that's why the plateau is occurring.

    The good news is....

I often am amazed when I am on this site, it was a biscuit. Eat it and enjoy it. I eat chocolate everyday( a few pieces not a whole block like i did pre-sleeve) I have lost 40 kg and maintained for the last six months. I eat well most of the time but I allow myself treats. I didn't have this surgery to be on a diet the rest of my life. I wanted to have an external control to help me. But a life of no treats... Never. Life is for living and I say everything in moderation.
  3. I also had to wait 8 months for my band ravaged stomach to heal. But I have since had the sleeve and am very happy with the results. I've had it 7 months and lost 30 kgs. I have not had any of the vomitting and reflux that I had daily with the band. I can eat what I like without any drama (small portions of course) Be patient, the time will fly, best of luck with your new journey.

    1 month Out

I've had my sleeve since oct 2012 and have had only two instances where I have felt the need to throw up after eating. It is not normal with a sleeve. I would be going back to the surgeon ASAP to look into this. I would question if you are eating too fast or drinking with your meal as both of these can lead to discomfort. I wish you luck and hope you get this sorted very soon

    Weight and body image

I am 10 lbs from goal and get lots of comments about how I'm fading away but I still see FAT. I can acknowledge that I am thinner but I still fee fat, yet I consciously know that I'm in a small size and that if my arse was as huge as I perceived that it wouldn't fit into the small pants but my mind doesn't see it yet. I'm hoping that it will soon catch up.
  6. I have always been bottom heavy. My surgeon made sure to let me know that whilst weight carried on the hips is healthier that stomach fat it is also harder to shift. I've lost 70lbs in 6 months with gym in there too and have shrunken nicely on top but my but is still an Australian 12 so it's curvey but it has shrunken from an 18 so I am happy with its progress but I'm 10 lbs from goal but I am getting too thin up top so I'm reevaluating if I will get to goal or just work on toning the ample bottom

    How many days

I had my sleeve in Adelaide six months ago, I was only in overnight. It was not too painful and I was back at work the following wk. I'm 30kgs down and still losing.
  8. I'd be quite worried, the reason that they get you to go on a pre-op diet is to reduce the fat around your internal organs. If they are too fatty it makes the surgery riskier and they may need to switch from laparoscopic to an open incision. Also there is no cheating once you have had the surgery or you could do some serious damage and create a hole in your stomach. This is your health you need to be honest with your doctor and let him / her know exactly what is happening with your food intake. Best of luck in your journey.

    Too emotional and moody?

I'm four months post op and about 50 pounds down only 15 to goal. I experienced crazy emotional madness in the first month I was teary and irrational, this lasted until about the 8 wks to when I suddenly felt more like myself. I am now feeling quite emotionally stable although I still have some bad days that I think may be due to being a bit overtired, I do get tired more easily now. I am not the best at remembering to take my vitamins though

    Heart monitora

I currently have a rcx3 which has a GPS tracking component for running. It is pretty expensive but it excellent. Prior to that I've had a basic f6 which was cheap and easy to use. All I wanted was one that had a memory so I could compare workouts and monitor calories. All of the polars are easy to use. My bf has a times which I find to be a bit tricky to follow

    Heart monitora

I wouldn't be without my polar head rate monitor; such a motivation for workouts and a real way to track calories burnt and improving fitness
  12. I was also very lucky with the surgery pain and experienced very little pain. I did however have significant shoulder tip pain from the surgery. This lasted about 4 wks and was more noticeable when I was physically active.
  13. I am 4 and a half months out and find that my eating is very much similar to a non sleeved person only I eat much smaller portions. I still love food and enjoy to eat but I eat smaller. I try to eat healthily but I do indulge in chocolate each day however now I savour 2 pieces rather than an entire block! My food favourites haven't changed I just eat far less of them and I'm satisfied. You do need to keep your brain in check though as certain foods can be eaten without much restriction like potato chips so I stay clear of those. I have found I can eat all foods however, like a lot of sleevers I find doughy bread to sit poorly as does steak but other than that I can eat very normally. The sleeve is a tool and it works as well as you let it. I don't have food demons as I once did. I eat what I like when I like but keep the portions small. The way I think of food has changed as it needed to... I can only eat small portions so I must choose wisely or else I will become nutrient deficient. Thoughts of food no longer rule my brain, I no longer lust after food. I enjoy it but it no longer rules me, it is no longer an addiction. I think the lack of hunger really assists this. For me it was like a weight had been lifted, and now the weight is literally lifting. 50 pounds down, slow and steady is working for me, 15 pounds to goal weight and I hope to be there by the six month mark. I wish you luck in your journey.
  14. Hi all sleevers, I'm 4 months into my sleeve and have experienced good results so far but am certain that I will want a tummy tuck (this is from having a child and years of yoyo dieting) any Aussies out there who have had surgeries to correct the damage we have done to our bodies? Or any words of wisdom from anyone who has undergone plastics... How painful, and tummy tuck vs whole lift

    Height, Weight, And Size Poll

Banded in 2010 nothing but dramas, 2 years And four surgeries later had a sleeve. Happy as never looked back Height: 5 foot 7 inches Starting weight: 210 Current weight: 159.5 Was sleeved 41/2 months ago. Weight loss has been slow and steady. I still would like to lose another 15-20 pounds. I am an Australian size 12 on bottom and size 10 on top. Usually a small to medium. I am so getting a tummy tuck when I reach goal however as I'm not happy with how that looks. But very happy with the sleeve!
