  1. Its been 8 weeks and 1 day since my surgery and including my 10 day preop diet, i am down 30#'s, but the best part is i am in actually in onederland!! Its going what I feel is slow, but its going :-)
  2. Dont let others experiences discourage u. This journey is different for everyone. Some have complications and some dont. Some loose fast and some loose slow. I am 8 weeks post op and since i started my pre op diet 9 weeks ago, i am down 29lbs. Not as fast as id like, but it is going! U might sometimes feel hungry and sometimes not. Also stomach acids can cause what feels like hunger and u can take a pill like omeperozal twice a day to help with that. The choice to do this surgery depends on weighing out the good and the bad and deciding if the good will out weigh the bad in the end. U can never be sure how the outcome will be, just decide if u wind up having any complications its worth the the opportunity to be healthier in the end.
  3. I was 7 weeks post op on tuesday and i sometimes get a nauseous feeling an hour after i eat. Usually it just takes time and i feel better. Did your Dr give u a nausea med u can take? If so try that. Or change what your eating. Your new tummy might not like it!
  4. My Dr said to stay away from those protein shots bcuz it comes from i think he said collagen and that is not the type of protein we need to b consuming.
  5. I read alot of people talking about going days without a bowel movement, but i dont read any about people constantly going. I seem to be in the bathroom 8 times per day and cant stop going. I would not be complaining if the scale was dropping, but its not!! Am i the only one who cant stay out of the bathroom?? Also im always getting severe gas pains. I can literally here the noise traveling through my intestines!!

    HELP!

Not all doctors make their patients do a pre-op diet, so im sure they can work around your liver. It just might take a few minutes longer.
  10. Minnie78 I was sleeved on the 19th and my scale has also not moved in 7 days. From what I have been reading on here, it seems to happen to alot of people. Some have said it lasts up to 3 weeks. Try not to let it upset you. I am trying not to weigh myself just so I dont get frustrated. The pounds are bound to start falling off eventually.:-)
  11. I am 2 weeks post op and i have not lost anything in 5 days, but since the pre op diet i have lost a total of 19 lbs. My fear is that i will also go a few weeks without the scale moving, but im trying to stay positive and keep myself from stepping on the scale.

    How did they close you?

I had staples and stitches. They took them out at my first post op visit.
  13. Hello everyone. I had my band removed and converted to the sleeve on the 19th, so I am 11 days post-op. Everything has been pretty good for me so far for the most. Although I did sneeze like 30 minutes ago and It felt like I tore something inside, and not near the incision sights. Does anyone know if it is possible to tear the sutures and staples along the stomach by sneezing?
