  1. Oh, absolutely! Like I said....only enough blood to operate one at a time.
  2. It is perfectly alright to ignore a thread, especially if it makes you ill. I promise, no one will hold it against you. Complaining about the thread by posting to it...well, that's something else.

    What Foods Cant You Eat?

Everyone is different....not just tighter or looser, but DIFFERENT. I can eat ground beef or prime rib or sausage or crisp bacon. Chicken is difficult sometimes. Forget fruit. And don't substitute fruit juice...it's just flavored sugar Water. I can't eat potatoes, but Beans are great (not green beans, though). I don't get many veggies down because of the "protein first" rule. A little bit of Protein and I'm pretty much done. One small bowl of thick, chunky Soup is a really good meal for me. I get a lot of my veggies that way, since they are cooked to mush. You're right....you will adapt. A couple of years ago, I might have been planning on chicken and dumplings for lunch. Today I am making meatballs in "wine" sauce (it's actually made from chili sauce and grape jelly, but it looks/tastes like a red wine sauce). I can eat about 5 small meatballs. They are a good source of protein and they taste great.
  4. I am almost of the same opinion as you, Boo Boo. I absolutely think that every abortion kills a human being. But I am not going to march in protest in front of abortion clinics. I am not going to campaign for the reversal of Roe vs Wade. If another woman wants to kill her baby, I will not try and stop her. Nor will I try and make her feel like a terrible person after the fact. I will never, ever agree that abortion is a good thing, but I have serious reservations about legislating morality, in any form. And the abortion issue IS one of morality. I have a lot of compassion for women in general (being one myself tends to make me biased). I thought the Andrea Yates verdict (from the first trial) was a travesty. If there ever was a woman whose quiver was TOO full, it was Andrea Yates.
  5. I loved Bill Clinton....voted for him twice...couldn't get enough of him. But I'm reading a book about Bill and Hillary and their marriage. It's a real eye-opener. It doesn't change my politics, but it sure reaffirms something I have long suspected: that a man has a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to control one at a time.
  6. The Dionne quintuplets were born in 1934, two months premature, and all 5 lived to adulthood. The quints were delivered at home by a rural doctor, without benefit of running Water or electricity. Today it's quite common to selectively "reduce" a pregnancy when the mother is found to be carrying more than 3 babies.

Need fill doctor in Dallas, TX

A Huber needle is a special non-coring needle used for LB fills, as well as accessing other types of ports (think chemo therapy). It is designed not to damage the port. Inamed specifically states that fills should be done only with non-coring needles.

Dr. C. Bulimia and the Band?

Terri... I have been in the same boat - band too tight but looked great on fluoro. Dr C is right about that....no matter what the fluoro shows, if you are barfing regularly, you are too tight. Some people just have a touchy pouch and it takes very little to make us spit up. My doctor, who is banded, knows this because he is the same way.

    Christmas Tree Pictures

I have two art niches! I never thought about decorating them for Christmas. Great idea!

    Christmas Tree Pictures

My DH would kill me if I put up three Christmas trees! He thinks I am trying to kill him, as it is. He has to drag all the Christmas makings up and down the attic stairs.
  11. I am being honest, and you are stating your opinion as if it were fact, which it isn't. Facts can be proven....opinions can't.
  12. If you look at Dr. Tiller's web site (the famous late-term abortionist in Wichita), he prefers to call it "the delivery of a premature stillborn". That just sounds so much nicer than "abortion", doesn't it? He sells "Remembrance Services" too - footprints, photos, baptism, etc. For babies...not fetuses. From his web site... Many patients request a remembrance of their baby to take home with them. The following lists items and services that some of our previous patients have found helpful in their emotional recovery. Everyone approaches this experience with their own unique emotional, spiritual, and cultural background. There is not a right way or wrong way, just "your way". Once the process of healing has begun, you may want to consider a token of the precious time you and your baby had together. If you ask me (and I do realize no one has), this guy is a jerk, out to make as much money as he can off misery and desperation.
  13. I am a person opposed to abortion who does not complain about welfare, or the number of children on it. So, as a blanket statement, your blanket is all wet. I think the popularity of bi-racial adoptions has increased, partly due to celebrity examples, such as Tom Cruise, Madonna, and Anjolina Jolee.
  14. Milk is about $4.00 a gallon, at most. You won't get much in the way of drugs for $4.00.

    Family Christmas Pics

Outstanding, ladies. You are both looking GOOD. And your families are charming. I just LOVE the little girls! I am a sucker for little girly girls. I was hoping, when I started this thread, that others would follow suit and post their family Christmas photos! So let's see them, folks. Jingle all the way......and all that stuff.
  16. A couple of months ago I had to have my dog put down. She was 13 years old and had a malignant tumor the size of a football in her spleen. I am still grieving. I still feel guilty. I took my old friend Sarah to the vet so he could kill her. I cannot imagine doing the same with my unborn child. Maybe other people recover from the trauma of abortion....I truly hope they do. But I know that I never would. It would eat me alive. I had Rubella early in my pregnancy with my first biological child, by the way. I was offered a "therapeutic" abortion. Had I accepted, I would have aborted a perfectly fine, absolutely normal baby. There is nothing wrong with my "Rubella baby". He has an IQ of 160.
  17. Stores in Texas are more diligent. They can be removed from the list of merchants approved for food stamps if they are caught not checking ID's - especially any purchace over $50 or things like baskets full of T-bone steak. A Kroger manager told me that just last week.
  18. Sorry...I don't see the correlation between kids in foster care and legalized abortion. Those women had access to safe, low-cost abortions. They chose not to terminate the pregnancy. What that says to me is that women who are too worthless to take care of the children they CHOSE to bear are also too irresponsible to hike their lazy asses down to the free clinic and have an abortion.
  19. I didn't know anyone still used those paper stamp systems. In Texas, you get a debit card. It has your name on it, plus you have to show ID. Your state could probably save a lot of money if it invested in the latest technology.
  20. I'm sure there are some who think lots of children equates to benefit $$$. But not all poor people are on welfare, by far. There is a larger group known as the "working poor". They are industrious, honest people who generally have few marketable skills, or work at seasonal jobs with no benefits. They have large families because children represent the only kind of wealth they are ever likely to have.
  21. I'm amazed that you can identify the drug dealers in your neighborhood on sight. If they are that easy to recognize, I would think the police would have hauled them in by now.
  22. I miss the incense. They don't use it much any more.
  23. I have a news flash for you...poor, uneducated, under-employed people who already have more children than they can support are not the ones having most of the abortions. The less people have, the more they value their ability to reproduce. I know this defies logic, but it's true. I worked in social services for 15 years.
  24. No one said anything about outlawing recreational sex, birth control, or sex ed. No one is trying to stop people from having sex. That's an absurd comparison. Again...it's not about preventing the abortion; it's about saving the baby. Perhaps someday there will be a way to take a newly conceived fetus from its mother's womb and put it into another environment to finish developing. Maybe then, everyone would be happy.
  25. That's absolutely true, Missy. Blaming every character flaw and every bad choice on your rotten childhood is the biggest cop-out in the world. I just want to tell those people, you are not Cinderella and there is no handsome prince waiting in the wings. Get over it, and get off your ass and make things better for yourself, 'cause no one else wants to hear your sad story.
