We've had such mild weather, my granddaughter was begging me to turn on the air conditioner the other night. I said, "Are you CRAZY???, "it's CHRISTMAS!!!"

Well, here we are....DH Bob, myself, granddaughter Cheyenne, and Lucy the Shih-Tzu Color0009.BMP

Wow! This man knows whereof he speaks!

Could you put that in writing, sign it, and have it notarized for me, please? My kids will never believe that someone thinks I'm right part of the time, let alone ALL the time...LOL

You're lucky your neighbors don't eat dog meat! Are these people dressing out deer in their backyard, or what? I have a friend whose husband hung a deer carcass in her shower to bleed and dress it. To me, that would be grounds for divorce.

Not sure how much worse things can get, but we look forward to hearing from you, nonetheless.

Updated: 11:35 a.m. CT Dec 20, 2006 LOS ANGELES - A one-month-old baby has been checked and cleared by a Los Angeles hospital after being put through an airport X-ray machine. Authorities at Los Angeles International Airport say an inexperienced traveler mistakenly put her grandson through a carry-on luggage screener. A startled security worker noticed the shape of a child and immediately pulled the baby out. A spokesman for LAX says the incident Saturday was an innocent mistake. In 1988, an infant in a car seat went through an X-ray machine at the airport.

Your grandmother obviously does not spend much time hanging out here....LOL -
Well, that just ruins all my Crocodile Dundee fantasies. I guess you're going to tell me next that Koala bears aren't as cute and cuddly as they look!

Jason... Dr. Rutledge performs a controversial procedure commonly known as a "mini-bypass". In another video he is equally critical of the RNY, because he promotes only "his" WLS. I would take anything Dr.Rutledge says with a grain of salt. First of all, his hard sell approach to bariatric surgery is very unprofessional. Secondly, only he and the handful of surgeons he has trained and approved offer the mini-bypass. There must be a reason for that.

Many years ago the Catholic church denied suicides the right to be buried in hallowed ground. They no longer do that. Now they recognize that people who take their own lives are emotionally disturbed and not in control of all their faculties. The Catholic church is very compassionate to the families of suicide victims in this day and age. However, if the boy has grandparents or great grandparents from the "old church" (pre Vatican II), they might have voiced the opinion that he wasn't going to heaven. Fortunately, they don't get to make that call. Only God does. -
I agree, even though I hate to admit it. But some really high dividends will salve my tight-ass Christian conscience. I can give more to the church, right?

Good for you, Betsy. My son works for them (KBR, actualy) and has been to Iraq for them twice, and I have to say that they have treated him very fairly, but I still have major issues with Halliburton.

Christmas comes during the summer where you live, so dinner in the Weber is an easy choice. Usually it's warm enough where I live too (Texas) and a lot of people here deep fry their holiday turkey, but most parts of the USA and just about all of Canada would find it a wee bit chilly to cook out in December. Has the Weber overtaken the barbie in popularity? I always did love that expression: throw another shrimp on the barbie.

Today I heard that China will begin Jan 1st implementing new restrictions on adoptions. No longer will single people, "old" people, or overweight people (BMI greater than 40) be allowed to adopt Chinese children. Wouldn't you think that if the criteria needed fine tuning they would try to eliminate people with more "undesirable" traits than their weight? I guess fat is the new Leprosy.

No fair....she has to be clam. She's a Moderator. Moderators aren't allowed to be controversial. Which is why most of us aren't....Moderators, that is. -
I don't know....but he's cute. He can clean my house any day. Come to think of it, though....I'm willing to let just about anyone clean my house.
-
And the reason this bothers you is????? One thing I have learned is that people NEVER think someone else has too much time on their hands, unless they don't agree with them.

That is AWESOME! The best Christmas present ever! Congrats, Sally Jo.

Relax....Wheetsin won't be offended if you tell her she is going to hell. She doesn't believe in hell. Edited to add... The problem with Atheists is they are so damned reasonable. And generally very intelligent, too. -

But if I'm right, I get to say I told you so, and you get to ask for ice water. If you're right....nothing happens. No doubt.... -
At least I didn't buy Enron, or even MCI. I did buy Lucent at $25.00 when it was an IPO. Bad move. Should have gone with Google instead.
