Yes "allowed" isn't the best word. I submit to insurance in 11 days and should do pre testing soon....I'm getting closer.

Ok everyone, I want to be super clear, so dumb question....what is the most a sleever will ever be allowed to eat at 18 mos. post-op? There seems to be a slight debate on the answer from my sources, so I present the question to you.

Does anyone know if St V mandates a sleep study?

I plan to start next Tuesday night. Start fresh for July.

THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE!!! I really appreciate the feedback. I've decided to switch to St V and they have been super helpful already. I have all my appts for July and Aug already set. Something is finally going smooth LOL

True, they do surgery on your stomach, not your brain. LOL

Hey everyone, I need some advice/help plz!!! . My surgeon no longer goes to IU, he's only at St V now. IU has a very intense program pre surgery, which I'm doing well on. However, I really love my Dr. If I go to St V, it will be out of network and more $, but I think I'm willing to pay for my surgeon vs IU's program. I'm nervous that if St V program isn't as intense, that I won't do as well in the long run. Thoughts, advice???

Did you meet with their internist physician during your testing day?
-
LOL, yeah it freaks my husband out to think bout it to this day, but its really not bad at all. His we had to gently tug on to get out and he just felt it to be too weird. Really it doesn't hurt and if anything its more of an odd sensation. The holes are just tiny and heal quickly. You'll forget they were there and you'll just notice only your laparoscopic incisions. Good luck!!!

It's a pain medicine ball that has 2 small wires that ate threaded directly to your incision site internally. It is an amazing invention for pain management. It will look like a ball and it contains a cocktail of mild pain meds like lidocaine, to deliver constent dose. Once it shrinks down, there isn't any medicine left and the wires can be removed.

Hi, Dr Evanson told me about the Qball. It's actually pretty cool and easy to remove. My husband had one for his surgery a few years ago. The wires they place are long, so don't freak out when you pull them out at home, its ok. They should come out just fine.
