BDJ, Have you been on antibiotics lately? I'm not a doctor , but im thinking it sounds like it might be your stomach. I had that problem a few years ago & it freaked me out. Doc said it was my stomach. I had been on antibiotics & my stomach just went bad. I never got it properly diagnosed & it did go away. Maybe your empty stomach is just churning away because it's used to more food. I remember brushing my tongue like crazy & chewing gum, but nothing made it go away except time. Mine might've lasted a month. The good news is that it DID go away. I hope yours gets better asap! Maybe take some prilosec & antacids...

Adoptmom, It's oddly reassuring knowing someone else will be getting this done the same time as me! I started pre-op diet today. Nobody told me which day to start it - they just said to do it a week before. I am half-way thru the day & im craving the urge to eat food. Im not hungry, but i want to munch. I hope i don't feel this way after surgery, at least not right away! So much of eating is psychological! Anyway, i wish you great success! I'm afraid to have this done, but i also can't wait to have this done & start seeing results!

It has taken me forever to learn to post a reply on here!!! I still don't think ive got it right! Just wanted to apologize if any of my replies sound confusing because they are in the wrong spot! :-0 That being said, i start my pre-op diet tomorrow & surgery is scheduled for 3/13. Im getting nervous. I know i'll feel better once its over & ive got a week or two under my belt. Best wishes to everyone getting sleeved tomorrow!

OMG, it looks like 14 people are getting sleeved tomorrow! Woohoo!!! I am nervous for my 13th date, but it still doesn't feel real. Then I read people's messages, like Jennifer616 who is getting it done on the 6th, and her nervousness makes it feel more real to me...and then I get nervous...and anxious and excited all at the same time. Good luck to everyone who is getting it done this week! My prayers are with you all!

Kyeta, Thank you! We are not alone. I love that I found this group! I've enjoyed reading every single post, but I'm just learning how to navigate the site. I couldn't figure out how to reply until I realized I had to sign in! lol Now I have to figure out how to message someone so I can sign up for the fb page! lol I wish you the best, Kyeta. I think my thyroid is border-line low, but they won't give me anything for it because I have atrial fibrillation. I just had surgery to fix the a-fib in December. That surgery was a breeze! Imagine that, they can operate on your heart and you're back to work in a week, but this stomach thing is going to take a little longer to recoup from! :-0

Same here! Cash & quick. I'm 3/13 too! I wanted it done ASAP, but now I'm getting scared. I figure it must be how a groom feels before his wedding. haha

Hi! I'm new & not sure if im in the right section to respond! lol. I am scheduled for surgery march 13. I love that i found this app for iphone, but im also stressing when i read a section called "slow losers". Ive been a slow loser all my life & thats why im getting this done. I pray i dont stop losing after one week!!! Any words of encouragement will be appreciated! Im just about to start my pre-op diet. Did anyone else binge excessively up until that point??? Or is it just me? Lol. I think i ate everything last month that was bad for me - i guess i was saying good-bye to the food.
