  1. Hey guys, thank you for the replies. Kirk, I've watched three or four of your videos now and they are helping ease my mind a bit. I believe it was your first video, that you mentioned some of your reasons for going through with this and they're very similar to some of mine. Travelling, flying, also I am really eager to try the zip line and right now I am over the weight limit. Skydiving is also on the list. Thank you for posting your journey, I look forward to watching the rest of your videos.
  2. Hi guys, I just discovered this forum today and it seems like it is a fantastic resource. The amount of information that is on here is staggering. Apologies if I've posted this into the wrong forum. I've just started the process of this, I had my first meeting with the surgeon this week and I have booked all of the other appointments. I'm pretty nervous and I'm still on the fence about the whole thing. I'm a 33 year old dude, I'm about 6 ft tall and tip the scales at about 330. I'd love to get down to about 200-210. The surgeon seems to think that I'll be able to shed about 90-100lbs with the procedure. So that sounds great, but I still have some reservations about the procedure. I have so many questions that I really don't know where to begin. I suppose the first question would be: If you had to do it over again, would you go through with the procedure again? Are the sacrifices and the complete and total life change worth it? How difficult has it been to make these changes? What about alcohol, can you still drink? What happens/if you drink beer? Another concern is the excess skin, are there things one can do to help prevent this from being too big of a problem? Any advice, suggestions, etc.. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any and all feedback.
