    eww!

Crush em and swallow them - chase with swigs of crystal light. Nasty but tolerable.
  2. Congrats on getting through it. I would not worry about what the scale says. You are not likely to see pounds come off every single day. Sometimes it is counter productive to check a lot. I think you best serve yourself to not worry about the weight loss, and focus your energy in following the program and making the eating and lifestyle changes that come with the surgery. The results will come. A lot of the changes coming will be mental/emotional, and it will take a lot to adjust and overcome. You do not need to add to it the worry of not having lost a pound or 2 a day or week. Always remember that the sleeve is a tool to help change your lifestyle/eating habits/emotional attachments to food. You still have to work really hard to make it successful. Good Luck.

    Desperately seeking advice

Maybe just get back to basics. Without specific direction it is tough, so here are some of my guidelines to think about. Daily Calories - 800-1000 Fat - at little as possible Carbs - under 50g/daily Protein - 70g daily (Whey powder, no flavor is good to boost foods up) I cannot see why protein shakes are off limits - I use powder and skim milk to make high protein shakes daily. Sugars - as low as possible. sugar free Jello, pudding drinks like crystal light. No fruits - they are sugary. Exercise and patience and routine. Find some things that fit with the above that you like, then shop for the week and plan out what you will have for the week. then adjust as you likes and dislikes change. Drink Water. I hope this helps. Also there is a chat on this forum and there are always people in there to give immediate answers.
  4. Some multi vitamins have enough iron in them that you do not need a iron pill.

    Negative Boyfriend

Some people just do not understand. Obesity is a disease. Whether it is poor nutritional skills or poor will power, getting to be morbidly obese is more than just oh you eat to much. There are psychological factors and biological factors that "normal" people just do not understand. Any person that thinks WLS is taking the easy way out is ignorant and uninformed. There is nothing easy about WLS. It takes more commitment to have WLS then to just do a fad diet or something like that. It is a total lifestyle change commitment and there is no backing out. Anyone making this commitment is courageous in my mind. If your boyfriend cannot fully support you, then you are better off on your own. It is really that simple. I was warned in the very beginning that relationships can change due to this. Do what is best for you... the rest will work its way out.
