    Triple Milestone Today!

What an accomplishment. Way to go.
  2. I would say try some pre-made shakes. Eventually, you will figure out which ones your system will handle. BTW - if you are "a river runs thru it" make sure you are getting plenty of water.
  3. Feeling normal is a myth. What is normal, anyway? The reality is... we should be worrying about calories and carbs and all that stuff on a daily basis. It will become a "new" normal. It will not consume your every waking moment. You will learn to incorporate it into your every day lifestyle in a way that is not overwhelming. It just take the journey to figure it all out. Good Luck.
  4. And let's leave it to those responding to posts to decide what support and advice they will give and then leave it up to the OP to decide what they will listen to. We do not need to leave it up to the self appointed forum police to dictate to the rest of us.
  5. Nothing I said was hateful, threatening or rude. So yes, I will be posting my opinions as I please in the future.
  6. And I wasn't talking about yours. I used the quote feature to clear that up.
  7. I made no presumptions in my post - I stated clearly my thoughts. You are the one who made presumptions. I mention nothing of tough love. You are not the respect police or the forum FBI. Forum hypocrite, maybe. You see, you seek constructive comments as long as they are written in the way you want them written. However, we all do not share your brain, so if someone has a different constructive comment than your own, then you will just have to deal with it. Nobody is going to change how they post just because you say so. I know I certainly will not.

Are you 5'8"-5'9" and post- surgery?

All along - this journey has never been about what weight I can get to. It has been, from day 1, about getting healthy, living healthy, and living longer. In my 1st 7 months since surgery, while the weight has dropped off, I am more than pleased at how my lifestyle changes have given me a new lease on life. I am getting healthier. I feel great, and I still have a ton to lose. With that said, let's not focus on the "number" and focus on the true reason this surgery works - learning to live healthy.
  14. Sometimes we all need a reminder that this whole thing is a lifestyle change. While nobody specifically talked about lifestyle changes in this thread, it might be worth mentioning that there are many facets to our lifestyles that need changed. Adding more exercise or activity for example. Another lifestyle change, and one that seems to be partial to this topic, is changing habits. Old bad habits die hard - we all know that. But that does not change the fact that those old bad habits must go. We all need to find the will power and mental strength to overcome these struggles. These threads always turn into a bunch of drama because people do not like what other people post. Wouldn't we all be better served if we all just posted our thoughts and let the OP take from the posts as they wish? Nobody is going to like everything that people say/post and we ALL need a bit of harsh reality/reminding when we are at the cross roads. Getting all sensitive about ones forum communication skills is no more productive than over-exaggerating the sympathy for those that get off track.
  15. I have yet to see that these numbers are as low as they should be. They all seem to overestimate.

    Burst Training

I am starting to learn about this type of training and wondered how it could apply to WLS patients. If you have any experience with burst training, please post your thoughts and experiences.

    Burst Training

It seems the basic thought process is that you burn burn rest periods the opposite sugar/energy than when you are exercising. When you do long cardio/etc. you are burning fat so when you are not working out for the next 24 hours, you are burning sugar stored in muscle for energy. So when you do this burst training, you burn the sugars/muscle and for the next 24 hours your body burns fat. I think this is the way I understand it from the explanation.

    Slice of pizza

Acascuse me? I would be more concerned not at the fact you COULD eat a slice of pizza but your CHOICE TO eat a slice of pizza at 7 weeks. I am not trying to be preachy or whatever, but at 7 weeks, I do not think it is a good idea to try and test the limits. Sometimes we all slip a little and that is OK every once in a while but please try to not have this be a regular thing.
