I didn't see this earlier. I would rather be called the "C" word. There is no way on God's green earth that a man of another race would call me the "C" word over calling me the "n" word. I don't allow anyone to call me out of my name for any reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Aborigines are dark complected. Also, we are so many variations of color. You'd be hard pressed to find someone with jet black skin that's Black in America. LOL. Actually, most Black people do assimilate. We pretty much have to and we don't have a problem doing so. Please name another race that was unable to hold onto their culture? Chickie, I saw your pics and thought that you looked great. What I am confused about is why you are letting people pay rent in your head? Christie Brinkley looks great. The Olsen was anorexic and doesn't. If you look like a starving child ina third world nation, then you are sickly looking. If you're one of those people that can't gain weight, it's a different story. The people that are called sickly are purposely being unhealthy. You can't please everyone. Please yourself.

Yes I know. You've stated that before. I was responding to the comment about liberal news blogs. I read info from conservative and liberal blogs and then I try to glean the truth by going down the middle. I watch Fox and CNN. The truth is usually in between them.

I take info from both sides and meet in the middle. You know, the whole three sides to the truth thing. Everyone has an agenda.

I saw a post on the other forum today about eating a chocolate macadamia cookie. She had surgery on 10/8. WTH??? Who in their right mind would eat nuts two weeks after surgery?

I have a sister that is 7 years older than me. I learned how to drive in 2003. She learned in 1997. We were on the interstate returning from my mom's house after Thanksgiving. She actually got upset and pulled over to let me drive after I explained to her about the passing lane. It's soooo embarrassing to see 10 cars behind you in the passing lane.

I spoke with my surgical nurse today. Since I have allergies, she wants me to continue with the Claritin. Please call your surgeon and get their opinion.

If I may add. We all lose weight at different paces. My weight is not a good indicator of what your weight loss will be. You have gas post-op because they inflate you to see your insides. You're six months out and haven't lost any weight because for the past 3 months you've avoided your doctor and you eat KFC everyday for lunch and dinner. LOL. That felt good to post.

If it happened prior to banding then I think it's a separate issue, although band patients can have increase in mucous due to it kind of sitting in the pouch area. Some patients do improve with OTC Claritin D. I'm waiting on the nurse from my surgeon's program to call me back. Ok. That was quick. It's allergies. If you're not gagging or wretching and it's not actual vomit, you're fine. You've always done this and you blow your nose every morning. Now, if I just started, that would be an issue. You're not moving your esophagus to the degree of a slip and I saw how secure your band was placed.

:bounce::bounce: I refuse to play with my band. I'm in this for the long haul. I can just see my surgeon writing in one of his research journals about me. The never filled bandster that slipped. That won't be me.

I was banded on 5/18. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I just don't have the urge to eat. My nut advised me to stick to some sort of schedule. So I eat or drink a protein shake within one of waking up. I get up by 10 AM. I eat lunch no later than 3 PM and dinner before 8. I go to bed really late so this works for me. I drink water in between. I'm trying to get to 200 by 1/1/08. I have 29 lbs to go.

Someone posted about mucus on the complications forum yesterday so I added my piece. I also posted on two other forums. I wouldn't mind seeing my surgeon, since I have a bit of a crush on him.

I don't have the answer but I am definitely interested in this. I have this in the morning while I am brushing my teeth. I have allergies and this has always happened to me. My cousin isn't banded and it happens to her too. I'm going to call my surgeon in the morning just to be on the safe side.

It's off to Dr. C I go.
