Hi guys, I'm 7 weeks post-op & for the past two nights, I've had the same sort of dream. The first night, I was driving around, trying to find a candy store, and when I finally found one, I ran in and stuffed myself with tons of candy. Then last night, I dreamt that I was sitting around a table with friends and family and there was a giant box of candy and I kept sneaking pieces. The weird thing is, I'm really not a candy lover. Hummmm :-/

It did, and I don't want to jinx myself but,, I think I broke my stall this weekend! !!!!

I went back to work after 2 weeks, but was restricted to no lifting over 10 pounds for a month after surgery date. I felt fine to return back after 2 weeks. :-)

Thanks, I hope you're right. My surgeon says that I can do more strenuous exercise at 6 weeks out. Hopefully that will help break the stall.

I'm still stalling... it's been a month at the same weight. :-( I'm starting to freak out a little.

That's awesome!!! Congrats!!! :-D

Have you tried "Premier"ready to drink protein shake? The chocolate flavor is pretty good. 30g of protein. I get them by the case at costco. Sams club has them too.

Removing the Band....weight gain & recovery experience
alene replied to PrettyPuffy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was banded in 2007. Had the band taken out last year Oct 2012. I was supposed to have the sleeve done at the same time but the surgeon said the band did so much damage that he wanted me to wait at least 6 months. I waited 9 months and had my sleeve done last month July 8th. I ended up gaining 70 pounds in the nine months that I waited for my sleeve. It was because I was anticipating my sleeve and completely overindulging. :-( Oh and also the recovery from the sleeve was much easier and much less painful than the band. Thank goodness! -
I'm 5 weeks out, and been at the same weight for 3 weeks. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do. Trusting that this stall will break at some point. It just has to.

I'm going to put in a call to my surgeon tomorrow. My family doctor says that he wants to see me eat a balanced diet no matter how small my new stomach is. Humm

Omgoodness, I went to see my family doctor today and he dosent want me to eat cheese or too much deli meat and eggs anymore. He wants me to have beans, tofu, fish and only VERY lean nonprocessed meat for protein, along with veggies, fruit and healthy grains. He says he's worried about me eating only protein. He says too much protein is bad for the kidneys and going into ketosis is very very dangerous. NOW I'M ALL CONFUSED! !

I'm with you guys. I've been at a stall for about 3 weeks. Just when I think I broke my stall my weight goes back up a little bit so I've been playing with a few pounds going up and down. I've been good with my food choices. One time i had 2 bites of birthday cake, but that was a week ago. I'm sure this must be the three weeks stall but my stall is lasting 3 weeks or more and I'm trying not to freak out and just do what I'm told and hopefully everything will work out in time. I'm sure if we all keep up with our protein, liquids and healthy choices, we will succeed.

My surgeon's instructions are no raw vegetables until 12 weeks post op. I can't wait!!! :-D

Btw, what are you all eating these days? I have one more week of moist soft foods, so I'm pretty much eating eggs, cheese, fish, deli meat, protein bars/shakes and more eggs.

Thank goodness you're doing better. That must have been scary.

Make an urgent call to your surgeon. You don't want to get dehydrated. I hope it's nothing too serious. Please let us know.

I can't believe it's been a month! ! Yes, Happy Monthiversary to everyone :-D I hope everyone is feeling really good. I thought I broke my 3 week stall, but no such luck. I wonder if I'm gonna be a slow loser. I'm starting to wonder what's going on here.
