Yeah. I went squirrely in the end too. I made ice pops out of vitamin water zero. You have to finish them within a certain time so it forces you to get them in. Make them small though. If you make them 3 ounces a piece and eat one every half hour it makes it more manageable.

I'm not sure eating McDonalds 7 days out is smart regardless of the calorie content of what you choose. Do they serve apple sauce? -
Go Indian. Its mostly soft foods. I did a lot of veggie Soup and added cheese for Protein.

I take fiber supplements now! I'm four weeks out. My nut thinks that, although I don't eat meat the whey in my shakes is the culprit.

I was sleeved on the 29th of July and am on pureed foods for one more week. I was eating until I got the tell tale cramp but the doc told me not to or I would stretch the sleeve. I measure amounts but hit the cramp long before by designated three ounces are in there. How do you know when to stop?

My nut told me today to eat small meals at multiple intervals in order to make sure I'm meeting my needs. Healthy grazing.

Wow! Guess I am far from being alone in this one. Who knew a whole day could be about a poop! Eating a watermelon cucumber basil ice pop. Can anyone say anti-inflamitory?

I won't say I had perfect bowels to begin with, but, I mean I was in shock. Had to nap for two hours after and I still cannot sit down.

I was told not to worry. Mathematically it has to happen. For the first time in my life I don't have to obsess about it.
-
That is encouraging! I am grateful that this seems to be my biggest issue, but wow, I will never forget this day as long as I live.

Tofu can be hard to digest so start small. I would suggest buying silken tofu to start mixing in purees. Def YouTube tofu cooking tutorials. It seems easy but over or under cooking is very common.

I'm a vegetarian 4 weeks postop. I was told to watch quinoa because it swells in the tummy taking up more space. I am still on purees so I mix goat cheese, cottage cheese, silken tofu, yogurt or protein powders into my soups. Next week I get eggs so that will certainly boost protein. Its not impossible especially if you continue at least one shake a day.

I'm struggling with the same. I want coffee so bad today and I'm four weeks out. My spouse wants me to wait until the dr says ok but...

I had a similar experience. Try not to let it bring you down. At four weeks out I'm no where near my pre-surgical energy level but I do feel improvement everyday. My water intake does have a huge impact. Fluids get easier.

I have been using my fitness pal to keep track of my vitamin/nutrient intake. I do well most days but still feel tired by 4. Of course this is the first time in my adult life that I'm not hopped up on lattes and sugar. Maybe its withdrawal from artificial over nourishment. -

Rak, I'm tired all the time too. I take two b12, 2 multis and one calcium with d. My nails are starting to split so I added liquid iron. -

I was told carbonated beverages were a no go for the duration of my life. -

No need to apologize. It says more about them than it does you. People have no manners. Your hard work is something you do for you. You just keep doing! Don't let anybody take this incredible opportunity away from you!
