Did anyone stall out at around 3 weeks post op?
dinaforeman posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am new to the forum and in need of some inspiration. I had my surgery on 1-9-13. I lost around 22 pounds in the first three weeks and only a total of 1.5 pounds in the four weeks since then. I have tracked my food and provided it to my nutritionist. She said that it looks good and that she can't determine any reason why my weight loss has stalled. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get things moving again? I am getting around 950 calories and 85 g of protein per day and nothing I seem to do is helping. I am really starting to doubt that I made the right decision. I didn't risk my life to have surgery to only lose 23 pounds! -

I literally just posted the same thing a few days ago. I had been stalled for over 4 weeks and the scale just finally moved on Thursday night. I know it is hard but you can't give up. Keep focused. You may not be losing pounds but you are losing inches. That concept was bizarre to me but it really is true. Just buckle down, follow the plan and you will break through! -
Hello everyone! I am so thankful to have found this forum! So few people in my life understand what I am going through and it is great to find a place where people understand. Now I guess I should share my story. I have been heavy all my life and after many failed diet attempts, I decided to pursue weight loss surgery. After a nine month program at a very good hospital in my area and weighing my options, I decided on a VSG. My surgery was January 9, 2013 so I will be seven weeks post op tomorrow. The last few weeks have been a struggle because I seem to be in a stall, which is why I went looking for a support group. I am trying to stay positive but it is very difficult most days. I am hoping that reading all of your success stories will help me feel like this was worth it! Thanks for listening and I hope to have many conversations with you in the future. Dina

So is it something that I just have to deal with? Or can I do something to make it better? I am so worried that this is it for me and I won't be able to get it started again
