I was told to never take it again after surgery.

    Grrr men!

Looks like he didn't love you - his loss! Don't fret - soon the ones who appreciate you for being you will be lining up to dance with you.

    a little down

In the end, you gotta do it for you. You deserve the best and you certainly deserve the best quality of life for yourself. Taking care of yourself first will reap the benefits you want. I wouldn't go through this for anyone but me. If it gets me that look from an attractive lady or two at the mall, I certainly won't complain!

    No more NSAIDS?

I was told never again after surgery.
  5. The first GNC I went to made me a free sample. I don't know if all GNCs do this, but it can't hurt to ask.

I need to lose 30lbs in 3 months! HELP!

If you haven't already, work on taking smaller bites and chewing each bite 20-30 times each. What'll happen is that you'll eat slower and feel full before you finish your plate (vs the other way around) or you'll get tired of eating before the plate is empty. Eating slower has caused me to not eat at much at each meal and is helping me lose weight. I've lost 30 pounds pre-op.

Wait - what? For which protein shake is a scoop only a half a scoop?

    Guys with low T

Sorry, being moody and snappy sometimes comes with the package . Give him time for the treatment to do its thing. In the meantime, you have us here to lean on.

Hang in there and if he's resistant keep reminding him of the benefits he'll see once he starts treatment (which we're hoping will deliver benefits to you as well!). Let us know how it goes.

    Disgusting Protein Shots Beware.

I'll warn you in advance - they can be a little tart! I let my coworker sample some and he added Water and thought they were not bad at all.

    Disgusting Protein Shots Beware.

They're pretty gross. Have you tried these? https://www1.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog/group/77102/
  13. Myfitnesspal works for me. It also keeps track of Water consumed and exercise you've done.
  14. I fear this happening to me after I have my surgery. Someone here mentioned an app for Android called "Eat Slower", I plan to lean on it heavily.

Not so much but that doesn't mean your hubby would have the same symptoms that I did.

    Can you?

If you're talking about the "Yes Whey" answers are yes and yes. I wouldn't recommend the "New Whey" at all.

    Syntrax Nectar Caribbean Cooler

24g for the 8oz I made (the entire envelope) - note that this is considered 4 servings, but only 100 calories or so total.

I ate a whole taco! WooHoo!

Can I tell you that I appreciate what you said here? I wish more people were this honest.

    Guys with low T

I was diagnosed with it last year. Irritability is one of the symptoms. I was prescribed Axiron which is applied just like underarm deodorant. That didn't work for me so my PCP has me inject myself every other week with Testosterone and that brought my number up. I have more energy now and am less agitated so easily.
  22. You're fine - they'd probably have a few words with you if you had gained weight.

    first post op flying experience

Thank you for your post, your story made me smile. I love travel and this has been my hangup as well, except I got over being embarassed asking for the extension belt (still needed it in first class) - I couldn't wedge my behind into a coach seat. I can't even imagine having room on the sides!
