  1. This is the way my doctor does it. I left nicotine forever in 2006 and have never looked back - I smoked for 16 years and dipped for over 10. I went through WAY TOO MUCH trouble to quit to ever take it up again.

Motivation to give boxing another shot

Give it one more shot and see how it goes. If he motivates you, good. If he does nothing but berate you, tell him to shove off.

    Too fat for c25k?

I can't say enough good things about heartrate monitors. I have the Polar Wearlink Bluetooth and an app on my smartphone called "DigiFit". DigitFit talks to MyFitnessPal so my workouts get posted there without much effort.

    Backhanded Compliment from Husband?!

We don't always think before we speak - sorry. But yes, you are pretty now!
  6. Thank you for sharing this - I hope to, one day soon, post my own NSV over diabetes!

    Dairy Queen Find!

Misleading label - should say "no sugar added to the sugar it already has" . Still, 3g isn't terrible for a snack.
  8. I was told my bariatric doctor would be one of my doctors for the rest of my life.

    Dairy Queen Find!

Ok how is it "no sugar added" but the nutrition label says 3g of sugar? http://nutritiondata...ry-queen/6664/2 Makes me wonder what else they're lying about!
  10. I'm pre-surgery but started taking supplements so that I'd be in the habit of taking them after the surgery. 1 Centrum Silver chewable multivitamin twice a day 1 calcium citrate 500mg chewable three times a day 1 500mcg B-12 sublingual dot once a day

    a little down

I'm so sorry for your losses - just a thought: sometimes God means "not right now" but we mistakenly hear "no" - miracles are possible. And if he meant "not this way", there are many kids waiting to be adopted and I'd bet you'd make an excellent momma. Hang in there! On the flipside of guys, I read here just the other day about a woman that told her man she was having the surgery and he told her "I only date fat girls" - you're right, if he's not considering the woman inside first he doesn't deserve you! Don't dwell on your past - unless it's an uplifting memory don't waste your time on it. You have enough to keep your mind occupied learning this new lifestyle we're entering. Concentrate on the wonderful future that is waiting for you, the NEW IMPROVED happier excited-about-life you.

You're gonna drive yourself batty weighing everyday - you only need to weigh yourself once a week.

It always makes me happy to hear someone say this! Are you wearing a full face mask or what did you end up with?

    Kelloggs's Products

I could get behind THIS Kellogg's product...

    Wow! Hoop jumping!

My doctor wants you to be using your CPAP for at least two weeks prior to surgery. I guess I can see why, it does take some adjustment. Everything will work out for you even if you have to wait longer than you wanted to.

    nutrition class

The NUT visits are good! Great place to ask questions from a professional. I also *HIGHLY* suggest getting involved with support groups as soon as you can. Many times a NUT will be there and possibly WLS-knowledgeable medical staff. At my last one there were two RNs, both former WLS patients.

    Guys with low T

I've been doing injections for almost a year - DEFINTELY cheaper AND better. And if I can learn to get over the fear of injecting myself ANYONE can!
