    Isopure

I've only had the Isopure RTD. I like the Alpine Punch, Coconut, pineapple Orange banana, and the Mango Peach.

    Im addicted to weighing "/

In the same boat. I keep telling myself I will stop shortly after surgery but Tuesday will be my 4 week mark. I go through the same emotional ups and downs you're talking about. In the end, I think I'm losing 3 - 4 pounds per week which should be fine. My twisted mind wants to see at least 1 pound per day and that's not realistic. Sorry that didn't help, but at least you know you're not alone.
  4. Isn't Honey Boo Boo from GA?

I'll see your two pounds and raise you the six I gained overnight in the hospital! A week later, it came off taking some with it! Relax, the weight will come off for you too soon.

    No Dough Pizza

Just found this on Facebook. Haven't tried it yet, but what do you think? Crust 1 (8 oz) package of full fat cream cheese, room temperature 2 eggs 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese Topping 1/2 cup pizza sauce 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese toppings - pepperoni, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers Garlic powder Preheat oven to 350. Lightly spay a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. With a handheld mixer, mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread into baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, our until golden brown. Allow crust to cool for 10 minutes. Spread pizza sauce on crust. Top with cheese and toppings. Sprinkle pizza with garlic powder. Bake 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted. For more healthy recipes, tips, motivation and fun, join us here: Weightloss With Us

    Looking for something....

You're not alone and a lot of us here at VST are each other's support. I hear what you're saying and I've been where you've been. I've lost 50lbs before with just a little effort only to gain it back again and then some. I was tired of that and this sleeve gives me a fighting chance this time. I don't care if others think I took some sort of shortcut or cheated or whatever, I didn't do it for them. As for dying, I know someone here that experienced someone dying when she had surgery and it shook me to hear that. I won't out her so she'll have to speak for herself if she sees this. All I had to do is remind myself of all the reasons I did this and the fact that at the rate I was going I was going to die sooner than later anyway and it was not going to be pleasant. It was a chance worth taking for me, I don't regret it, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

How long ago did you have surgery?

I will do that but I'm telling you if this is some sick joke and I take that and grow breasts, there will be angst coming your way! (Okay I'm kidding, I already have breasts )

Oh I will have spicy food again - it may be down the line, but I will have it again!

    Is one night enough?

One night was enough for me but had my issue with dehydration persisted I wouldn't have argued against another day.

    For people 375+

Walking in a pool might be easier for you. I'd highly suggest the elliptical for something low impact - if you can only do 5 minutes, no problem - just do 5 minutes every day. In a month, go for 10. Exercise doesn't have to be hardcore at this point.

How long before you were cleared for swimming?

I was told it was all about the incisions. I'm going on my fourth week in a few days and my incisions look wonderful I think. I would go now myself.

    just had an epiphany

It's a little frustrating - I hardly ever had issues with heartburn presurgery but now it's pretty frequent. I started taking my Lansoprazole again but it's not helping much. Tums seems to help most of the time, but I'd rather not rely on them. I *STILL* don't regret the surgery tho - I like getting full eating less than a girl!

    Protein Bars?

I tried my first Quest Protein Bar today because of this thread and I gotta say they're my favorite so far. I got the Peanut Butter and chocolate at a nearby GNC but could only finish half of it. I like the flavor and I'm okay that it doesn't taste overly sweet. Will probably try that apple pie next.

    anesthesia--what kind are we given

My anesthesiologist said he would give me something to make me relax. He must have injected it into my IV because one minute I'm talking to the surgical nurses and the next thing I'm in the recovery room.

Did ur spouse stay at hospital

As I recall, they would have been okay with it but I didn't want her there having to sleep on a poor excuse for a recliner and getting awakened every time they came in to check on me. I sent her home and asked her to wait to hear from me the next day so we could figure out what time she could either come visit (or preferably pick me up and take me home!). I was asked if I wanted a shower the next day and I declined (yeah, I know, gross). Being the overthinker that I am, I couldn't fathom taking a shower with the IV stand and bag and that medicine ball hanging from my neck. FWIW, something leaked onto my hospital gown and they found me another one. The nurse had me stand up and she changed me. I'm sure she's seen 1000 other naked patients but still, it was a little unnerving!

    No Dough Pizza

Oh stop - I didn't take what you said as disrespect and I was just being silly. I posted that knowing it wasn't the healthiest and just as I had predicted to myself, someone came along with an idea to make it healthier (Molly in this case). Thank you for your comments and concern, I do appreciate it! We're good!
  24. How long have you been on your liquid diet?

Yeah but Molly said... Whatever the heck YOU want...It's your pizza! ...and who am I to argue with Molly?
