Welcome - I didn't have to do purees either but I think you could get your favorite Soup, blend it, strain out any chunks, and have yourself a safe meal.

Welcome brudda, good to have you here!

at how many weeks post op did you start exercising?
DonRodolfo replied to lucy00us's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Start walking every day. Even if it's just 10 minutes, do that - every day. -
Lets help eachother on my fitness pal :)
DonRodolfo replied to smallbird's topic in Food and Nutrition
It works a whole lot better when you respond to MFP messages your new MFP buddies send to you (hint, hint) -
Inspirational, gmanbat!

If you have a smartphone I highly recommend the Wearlink+. Mine talks to an app called DigiFit on my android smartphone and gives me realtime heartrate, calories burned, distance, etc. DigiFit uploads your workout to the digifit website and you can get all kinds of stats there. Also, once configured, DigiFit talks to myfitnesspal so that your workouts are automatically posted there.

Bye, Bye! 100 pounds gone for good!
DonRodolfo replied to rbott's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats to you! I am 4 pounds away as of this morning and so looking forward to it! -
I didn't attempt it until soft foods and had no issues with it.

You're going through what we all did. Give it a few more days and you won't be as miserable and you'll be surprised at how good you feel considering how little you're eating.

I had a quarter cup of whole wheat spaghetti and sauce about 4 weeks out with no issues. I generally try to avoid starches and sugars, however.

I believe I got them at GNC, but Vitamin shoppe may have them as well. Definitely don't buy a box until you're convinced you like them enough.

If bigcountryab is harassing you via PM do not hesitate to report him.

I like the flavor and texture better. Quest's texture is like a brownie to me, the Oh yeah victory are closer to a candy bar (but not obnoxiously sweet like one).

An admin has already ruled on this thread. See the post by username Susan on page 2.

There is a nutrition label at the bottom of this page: http://www.netrition.com/iss_victory_bars.html

I'm 9 weeks out and can only eat half of one of those at this point. They were my favorite until i discovered "Oh Yeah! Victory" bars. I highly recommend giving them a try.

ok question about preop diet
DonRodolfo replied to 1sunnuri's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a clear diet 24 hours before surgery. I imagine it could get dangerous cutting your stomach and something still being in there. I also had a clear diet the day I was in the hospital. I was released on full fluids (which did not include meat or veggies). -
There's an atheist subforum on this board, have at it. Or post it here. The only one making you a victim at this point is you. I'm not an atheist, I'll just ignore what you're saying.

Well done Fiddle!

You should be proud of yourself - well done. Now do it again tomorrow!

Thanks! Yes I weigh myself every day AND I DON'T RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE DO IT! I've seen so many people on this site beat themselves up because the weight isn't "falling off" and the first thing I ask them is if they weigh themselves every day. Pick one day in the week that works for you and stick with it. Since you won't dare weigh yourself everyday you're ahead of the game - stick to that!

surgery in two weeks. getting nervous and having second thoughts.
DonRodolfo replied to LRC89's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'd guess that everyone that has been sleeved had second thoughts at one time or another. Sure you will. Protein is the first thing on the plate you have to consume. When that's done, if you have any room it's veggie time. Veggies are your friend, there has to be something out there for you. If there's any room after the veggies, then you can worry about the carbs or fruit. We were all scared we were making a mistake. I'm only able to eat less than half of what my 20 year old daughter can eat, i'm not miserable. I used to eat a double bacon cheeseburger with an order of onion rings. now i can only eat a quarter of a single bacon cheeseburger and one onion ring leaving me a minimum of 3 more leftovers. i don't consider that miserable. Not gonna sugar coat it for you, people have gotten sick after surgery. People have also been amazed at how good they feel a day after surgery. No way to predict. But most of us have family that needs us and we managed. -
