    I cheated .. Bad!

Just do better tomorrow! You are fine!!
  2. I am 13, almost 14, months out from surgery and have lost 100lbs. Anybody else dealing with hunger? My quantity of food that I intake at a time hasn't really increased, but I get hungry every 2-3 hours. I know that 5-6 small meals a day isn't bad, but I am afraid of overeating. I have also stalled on weight loss which is another reason I am worried about eating too much. Anybody else having this issue and how are you dealing with it?
  3. SO hungry! I am finding that I need to eat every 2-2 1/2 hours. I keep healthy things around, usually, like peanut butter, nuts, fresh fruit and I try to eat good, filling meals usually made up of beans, chicken, fish. I still can't get in a variety of foods at mealtimes so I eat just fish or just chicken even though I do try to mix in some kind of bean. Still, am I supposed to be hungry so often? I try to eat more at mealtimes but then I feel like I'm over-eating and I *still* get hungry every 2-2 1/2 hours. Any tips? Is this normal? I am also hitting my first stall. Makes me sad. Only 1lb lost in 4 weeks. Have heard about a lot of stalls on here so trying not to let it get me down. Still, though, just makes me worry more about eating.
  4. I just had to have a statement from my Dr. that I had made previous attempts at weight loss and they failed. She typed up a statement showing dates I had come in to see her and that I had tried diet pills, phentermine, and was unsuccessful. I have BC/BS TX. It was a simple, brief statement.

  6. I am 8 months out and while I still cannot take in that large of an amount at one time, I am finding that I am getting hungry more often.

    Thin crust pizza!

Thin crust pizza is one of my favorite things to eat! I love it. I am 8 months out and a slice of thin crust pizza is one of my most fulfilling meals. I usually get Canadian Bacon and I love it!
  8. I am 7 months out and this is still my biggest struggle!!!!!

    Can't Lose Anymore Weight! :'(

Your friends could be right! Muscle DOES weigh more than fat but muscle will also burn more calories! Hang in there and keep it up!!! The weight will start to fall off!
  10. I am 7 months out and still have trouble! Everything tastes different.
  11. I am so worried. In the past two weeks I have started to feel very hungry! I also feel like I am able to take in more! UGH! Is this typical? I have not really counted calories but that is no longer an option since I feel like I need to eat more. Again, is this typical? How do y'all feel at this point with regards to hunger and food intake?

    My enemy food.

I can no longer eat salmon! Weird, right??? Other fish is just fine but the taste of salmon has become so strong it makes me ill to eat. The same with turkey!! Depends on how it is cooked. I can do *some* pork. Nothing breaded at all. I try to stick with mainly chicken and fish since those are the two that go down the easiest. The lighter the better! I am 7 months out from surgery.

    I feel like poop!

For 14 days I could consume nothing but water and not enough of it. Took me 10 minutes to consume 1 ounce. Was miserable for weeks. Hang in there and call your dr. as soon as you can. It took the aid of my dietician in her office to nurse me through and I was able to avoid re-hospitalization. I promise it will get better but some tummies react harsher than others and mine did! It was awful but I got through it and now am a much happier 85 pounds lighter! Hang in there!!!

    So is SEX better now?

YES! I have also always had a really great sex life with my husband. HOWEVER, it is even better without 70+ pounds!!!! Yay for us!

    HAVING TROUBLE

For 14 days after surgery I could take nothing in but water and not very much of it. Almost ended up back in the hospital and probably should have been but it was Christmas and I didn't want to go! It. Was. Aweful. It was also scary. I was SO weak. My dietician started working closely with me and got me through but it was a SLOW process. It initially took me 10 minutes to get one ounce of watered down apple juice in. I also could not tolerate protein shakes AT ALL. My tastes have changed as well and I am not a smoker so you must be going crazy! I cannot tolerate ANY protein shakes to this day and I am 5 months out. Hang in there!!!
