  1. Don't beat yourself up too much for cheating. It is going to happen! Just do better tomorrow. If it makes you feel better, I have been licking chocolate and raw cookie dough off my fingers all day prepping for Easter tomorrow! Ugh! Lol. My concern would be the safety of eating all that bread so soon after surgery. I am 3 months out and STILL have issues with bread. Be careful and good luck!
  2. Small sips!! Go SLOW!! And YES it gets SO much better!! Hang in there and be patient and don't get discouraged!! BTW, I'm 3 months out.
  3. I gained 2lbs!!!! What??? I'm 3 months out. Is this normal???? Am I failing???? I'm freaking out!!

    I GAINED! *screaming*

Thanks for the support y'all. I just haven't been in a very good place and I'm frustrated. I have been unable to exercise due to an injury and I'm like a hawk with the scale as a result. Ugh! I'll try to remain calm!!!

    Worried about flabby skin..

    I'm worried, too!!

    Taste buds are changin'

I will freely admit that I was a Pepsi! I would drink 3 or 4 large one's a day! Ugh!!! No wonder I was 300lbs!! I, also, can no longer drink them. They taste like carbonated water to me. Yuck!! This has happened with other things as well. Milk and even turkey. Turkey does NOT taste right anymore. Weird, right??? Happy that Pepsi is no longer a temptation!!
  7. Same here! Most days I have to make myself eat but then there are days where I am *starving* all day!

    APPROVED....but have a question

Don't wait. Your health and happiness are important, especially to your family. Be honest with them.
  9. I am still having this problem 3 months from surgery! Ugh!!!
  10. I am 3 months post op. When will this exhaustion and weakness end? My stamina is zilch, I tire so easily. Is part of the problem the lack of adequate food and liquid??? I just cannot physically get very much in. I try to make myself eat more but I am afraid of stretching out my stomach! Anyway, is anyone else having this problem?? Will it get better?? Should I be this tired and weak three months from surgery??

Do people really do this s**t?

I'm like, "OK, thanks" and walk away. Some people are generally trying to be helpful so I try not to say it *too* sarcastically. I have been lucky since almost ALL feedback from people that know has been very positive.

    BREAKFAST!

I need some ideas! Breakfast has been a struggle for me. Can I get some fast, easy breakfast ideas from y'all???? I am 9 weeks out from surgery. THANKS!

    Ladies - Your Thoughts?

My husband is bald and has been since the day I met him 11 years ago and I love him more today then when I married him. AND I think that he is SOOOOOOO DAMN SEXY!!

    Venting-breakdown today

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!!! If my mom mentions my shrinking boobs ONE more time............. I am 10 weeks out and it does get better!!!! Just keep reminding yourself that, in the end, it will all be worth it. That is how I got through the torture of those 2-3 weeks immediately following surgery. Hang tough!

    Hiatal Hernia?

Or, rather, they fixed it during surgery!

    Hiatal Hernia?

I also had a hiatal hernia and they just removed it during surgery. No problems!

    catheter?

I had to get one because my bladder took 5 days to wake up from the anesthesia! I had to go home with one. Yuck. Everything is fine now, though! JMS is preey on target with this one. Getting up and down to use the restroom was agony!

    Bad food day! UGH!

Thank you! I read all your replies and woke up today with a fresh start. Going to be a better day! Good luck to everyone!

    Bad food day! UGH!

Craving salty so I sat down with a can of Sour Cream and Onion Pringle's. Granted, I only had about 5 when 3 months ago I would have eaten at least half the can, still disappointed in myself! Then chocolate after supper. What's wrong today??? Better day tomorrow! How many of y'all have slipped up and how bad???
  20. I was back at work 2 and a half weeks after surgery. Wish I had taken a full three weeks. Exhausted and so weak still. Everything worked out OK. My boss cut me some slack and didn't say too much about me having to sit down and rest every ten minutes.
  21. Your tummy is swollen and it is NOT comfortable to intake anything. I had a tough time and was almost rehospitalized due to dehydration. I had to force fluid in by mixing apple juice and water and had to time myself drinking all day! Yuck. At first it took me about 10 minutes to get 1oz in but I improved it to 5 minutes. It was tough but it gets better and still happy with my surgery and the results!
  22. I had the same problem! Diarrhea is my nightmare. I am almost 10 weeks post-op. It is definately better but this surgery has made me lactose intolerant so that is an additional problem that I have no idea how to even begin to deal with! The diarrhea has definately improved but I have to costantly be aware of my body's reaction to whatever I eat and be ready to run to the RR just in case.
  23. I told my husband, family, and co-workers. That's about it. It's not a secret, though, and I don't really care who knows. I am happy to have made this decision that will help me to regain control of my life.
  24. Anyone else become lactose intolerant as a result of surgery?? It has happened to me and it has broken my heart! Milk is my comfort food! I drank FF milk and I could drink it with anything. I MISS IT!!! I don't even know how to handle this. What can I have?? How much can I have?? What do I do??? :( :(
