Restriction in morning and none at night.
nume130 replied to joemcc's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I could go without eating all day. Not hungry and liquids have a sl hesitation. Evening are a 'free for all' with moderate restriction. When I do eat in the morning- which I can- yogurt or scrambled egg- that seems to 'open things up' and I can eat too much for the rest of the day. I am going for a fill in a couple of weeks. -
When they start to shrink you may get what I have now- bat wings:thumbdown:

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
nume130 replied to yankeerobin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have good restriction during the day but evenings are hard. I want and can eat and eat. I think I may have a leak because everytime I go for a fill I have under 1 cc in my 10cc band. I am going back in a couple of weeks to check again. We'll see. -
Are there any people in London Ontario who have been banded.
nume130 replied to Sheila Davies's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would have loved to join you for supper, unfortunately I am away that day. Please keep me posted if there are any more meetings -
I eat very light the day of the fill- soup mostly. The next day I try to be cautious, so I don't get stuck after that its back to normal

I didn't meet my Feb. 1 goal to be in the 160's but I'm not to far off. Problem is I may have leak? They are not sure because I have so little in my 10cc band that the water may just be in the folds of the band. I just don't think I could tolerate the usual amount. I do have restriction, just probably not quite enough- close though.

Non surgery solutions to sagging tummy - anyone?
nume130 replied to filole78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would guess it depends on how you carry your weight. I am apple shaped, so I'm not sure I'd need a tummy tuck- we'll see. -
Well I've lost 'a human leg' and have a 'cinder block to go'. Great thread.

I just bought one pair of casual pants and I can wear them to work when there is no workshops on. I have one pair of black dress pants and a few tops. I just bought a couple of new bras (had to,no choice). I just don't have anything else to wear. But I do award myself new boots, shoes, purses etc. I won't shrink out of them. ONe thing I've noticed is that I can wear high heels again, its wonderful. No more granny shoes. Helps me to feel sexier- even though I have a way to go yet.

I set it at 130 but the dr said 141. I changed it to 140 because I agree, the weight may be too low, but when I get there I can always reassess
-
I am 5'3 but when I was in for my fill they said 130 was too light- 141 would be the ideal. I did reset my ticker to 140. I don't want to look sickly but I can always continue to loose wt, if I am not satisfied at 140. I am doing reverse psychology. If I make it to my new goal, I will feel successful. If I set my goal too hard and don't make it I will feel like a failure even if I get to 140. So I'm out to trick my brain and attain a victory!

Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)
nume130 replied to Oregondaisy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Nuk Chik welcome to the journey. It is hard to set a goal. But age and activity level does play a part. I am feeling good, still overweight, but good. I can't imagine how wonderful I would feel at 140. It is exciting. -

In for my fill today and my goal wt. was too low at 130, so I adjusted it. That means I'm over half way there! -

nume130 replied to yankeerobin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was in for a fill today. Not as much in my band as we thought-leaking? anyway I have 1.2cc in now in total. I feel good restriction- hopefully it will hold. My original goal wt was set too low. The nurse said 141 would be the ideal wt. for me. think they are right. I have changed my ticker and that means I'm safely past my half way point! Everyone is starting to notice now and I feel it. -
I have some very nice clothes, but all too big. I wore them as long as I could but just can't anymore. My boss mentioned that I need to buy clothes, so I had to bite the bullet to get a couple of outfits. I only bought one dress pants (black) and one casual with few tops to mix and match. Great sales on now but I have to resist- who knows what size I'll be later. There is nothing like walking past plus size stores- no more, no more, no more shopping in them

Pattern of weight loss - What is yours
nume130 replied to Doddie63's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I try only to get on the scales weekly, if I climb on too often, I get discouraged because I gain throughout the week. I lose and then I go up and down. I find when I am at this plateau, my body is adjusting because I keep going down in clothes sizes. It is a mystery. -
Congratulations LKM. I have about 45 pds still to lose. I think though that my goal maybe too low. I know as far as BMI goes it is good but at may age I think I may look sickly- I'll reset it as necessary. It is so hard to know- I was 21 when I weighed 130 lbs last.

I also hate getting fills- it does hurt. I hate needles and I'm a nurse!. I have only a small amount in my 10cc band but I am so very close to the perfect fill point. I want to be conservative with my fills because I am terrified of being too tight. I was too tight with my surgery primer fill and I don't want to go there again. I have 1.3cc in and am planning on getting another .3 or less on Wednesday. I am going out today to buy some clothes- I have nothing left. What a great feeling! I'd like to be at goal by Oct. 5- 1year. I think my goal wt. might be set to low though. -
Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
nume130 replied to yankeerobin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I remain very content with my band. I don't have much fluid in my 10cc band- just 1.3cc and I will probably get another tiny fill on Wednesday. I am pretty satisfied- I can eat anything I want in smaller quantities- have comfortable restriction until the evening and then I really have to watch. I am beginning to think it is thirst rather then hunger and I try to remember to drink more instead of reaching for the cheesy crunchy. I do seem to plateau alot. I'll loose a pd or 2 and then yo yo around it for awhile and then loose again. It is as if my body is adjusting before it'll hand over more wt. But I can really see it in my clothes, if not the scale. I have only one pair of pants and a couple of shirts to wear, and I just bought them. I'm thrilled. (size 14, no more plus sizes!!!!) -
Most of my excess skin seems to be the inner thigh. Have you ever done just the inner thighs without the LBL? Does the scar typically go all the way done the leg? I was wondering about thermage for the arms- I really worry about the scarring. Thanks so much for being available to answer our questions.

I know exactly how you feel. I just bought a 14! It is really happening.

Does your band loosen up two weeks post fill?
nume130 replied to Jhlopez's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have had 2 fills with the same experience. 1cc and then .3cc in my 10cc band. It feels perfect for 2 weeks then I am back to original restriction. I would say that my original restriction isn't too bad, I can eat aabout 1400-1600 cals- which stops my weight loss in its tracks. I guess I am going to get another fill in a couple of weeks. -

Pouch Says "NO MORE", Head says "EAT MORE"
nume130 replied to beckymein1021's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I should start going to bed a 7 to get away from the evening snacking. I am not even remotely hungry but keep heading to the kitchen. -
What would you consider a lower BMI? Would I qualify or do I need to wait awhile yet?
