Dr. C, Wow those pictures are great. I often wonder if I will know if mine slips. I have no reflux or regurgitation. Sometimes I think I can eat more than at other times, but that may be due to what I eat. My question is: Are there any new news on the band? My friend said she thought that on the news the other night they talked about a new complication that they were finding with it. She couldn't remember any details. Great, huh? Have you heard any such things? If so, what? Please advise.

I had the lap band in January. Like you, I have a hiatel hernia, my surgeon who does both procedures(Band and Bypass), said he would put some stitches in the hernia and then proceed with the lap band. He said that was what his preceptor taught him when he trained to do this band procedure. I have had no complications whatsoever. So always investigate before just accepting.
