I was dealing with this and found out we should not be!! You have to wake up your bowels. I waited and waited and one day I had such severe pain that I almost called 911!!!! It was unbearable. This is going to be TMI but....... Hubby ran to the store and got an enema and milk of magnesia. After that day I now take the mom every single day only the lowest dose just so I can "go". I will NEVER allow myself to wait that long again. BTW. I never felt constipated at all until "the day". Good luck!!

How much protein does she want you to be getting? I'm doing this on my own so I don't know what is the right amount

I want to guzzle a bunch of water!!! I am do very thirsty and can't get enough. I was a big water drinker before surgery.

Yes and it's frustrating!! I finally put away the scale !!!! Once a week only for me. My clothes for different and people are noticing so that is good for me!

Everything cost a total of $4,500.00. This did not included my flight. It was $160.00.

How are you losing so much so quickly? I must be a slow loser. I had surgery on 3/6 and down 11 pounds from that day. Including preop diet I am down 25. Can you tell us your routine? I'm just curious what we are doing different. My routine is this... Every 2 hours I take 3oz of a protein drink getting a total of 60 grams of protein everyday. I sip water all day long getting about 60 ounces a day. I started pureed food to try out... Yesterday I had ... 2oz of oatmeal ( breakfast) 1oz potato/tomato soup (lunch) 1oz pot roast/sweet potato/stock (dinner) I also take supplements... 3 bariwise multivitamins 4 bariatric calcium tabs 12 drops of b-12 2 fiber chews I'd love to hear what others are doing.. This is all the food I can get down right now. That's why the amounts are so little. I don't think I'm getting any kind of nutrients out if it as of now

I start my weight loss from first day of preop 2/18/13. Total as of today. 25 pounds.

I agree completely!! I am finding that I am "hungry" during times that I am bored at home or driving a distance. It's silly. I am glad we are not able to eat food yet. I hope it helps to set some new habits.

Every single day is a bit better!!!! It is amazing how's that works! I was sleeved on 3/6. Still sore still having a hard time getting puréed foods down but all in all doing good. I love that I wake up each morning a little better!

I just took a tablespoon of milk of magnesia. NASTY!!!!
