[size=4][font='comic sans ms', cursive]I know it is said not to have any regrets in life, but I must say I do have one. It is not having the WLS sooner. I have been overweight and on a diet since I was little. I can probably name a diet with every letter of the alphabet that I was on. I was and still am an emotional eater. I have come a long way since the surgery. Losing weight is not only physical, but mental, emotional, and spiritual to me. Before the surgery, I had severe sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and depression. Since the surgery, everything disappeared. March 22nd was the day that I will remember for the rest of my life. It is a new birthday for me. Right before I choose to have the surgery, I had fallen and tore my cartilage in my knee. I walked with a limp. I couldnt move for days because of the pain. Lifting 307 pounds on crutches was a wake up call. I knew then that my life had to change. I looked at my kids and said I wanted to be there for them. I wanted to be healthy! It was either knee surgery or WLS. I choose the WLS. My surgeon said that after I started losing weight there would be less pressure on my knee, and thank GOD it was. I am able to run,dance, and move without any pain! [/font][/size]
