  1. First let me say that you guys are AMAZING. I cannot get over how many of you reached out with some great advise and give me many things to consider. I too am single and a good job is all the security I have so I may need to my primary focus on getting that going first. But I am one of these people that once I have my mind made up that I want to do something, I will do what is necessary to get it done. But I am not a spring chicken by any means and need to be prepared for some possible setbacks so I may wait until the fall. In the meantime, keeping up Weight Watchers and Curves. What happens if I loose enough weight to get my BMI down to around 30 something, would I still be eligable? I do have Type 2 Diabeties, High Blood Pressure and Colesteral, so assuming I would be. And then there is the insurance issue.. I have to figure that out as well. Again, thanks to everyone. I look forward to getting more active in this website. I need to figure out how to get my picture to show first.
  2. I saw the surgeon for my initial visit 2 days ago and it went really well. Actually it looks like I can get insurance approval rather easily and possibly have surgery as early as first of April. Here is the problem... I just got confirmation today of a new job starting in mid March which will require several meetings and training, possibly out of state for a few days. Now I am thinking I should put this off until summer as because I also have a big vacation planned and paid for for mid May. At first I was like...great! Lets get this rolling and I can be up and going by vacation time. But the confirmation on the job came and now I'm afraid with the stress of a new job (start up operation) it could make my post op more difficult. I was hoping I could work from home a few days after surgery and not really miss that many days. After reading posts on this forum I am now seeing that the first few weeks could be pretty tough and I may have to miss too much work for a brand new job (that I need to make a good impression at). Am I biting off more than I can chew? (pun intended) Thanks for your opinions.
