Pregnant and worried that I can eat too much
laziepandabear posted a topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hi everyone, I got pregnant 3 months post op and haven't lost anymore weight. I have gained 8lbs which the doctor says is great. btw I am 34 weeks yesterday. so I am so concerned cause it seems that I can eat way more than I should be able, like about a cup or so at one sitting sometimes. the other thing is I want to graze all day as I feel hungry all the time. im not eating a cup of food every time I graze but its like I want to feel full all the time. I am worried I will stretch my stomach and after baby comes I will not continue my weight lose journey or that it is going to be so much harder. Does anyone know if the restrictment of the sleeve comes back after you deliver? Will I stop this feeling of always being hungry? Will I start to lose again as I still have about 70 lbs to goal weight? any advice would be so welcomed. thanks -

I was told that a great herb for supply is fenugreek. ask your doctor. also seek out your lactation expert where you are having your baby. mine has been wonderful and indispensable. good luck. let me know how it goes as I am due in march and also nervous about supply -
Preop pcos ttc

words of warning lol. I have had pcos for years. its been almost 8 years since I needed birth control cause I couldn't get pregnant. I do have one fertility treatment baby and we as a couple decided that weight loss would be a better option for another. so I have the sleeve last feb 19th and well when they say it will be super easy to get pregnant it is. I was 3 months out and was having trouble losing weight so they took me off the pill and told me to use other protection. one time without and we are having a baby girl in march. I only had lost 65lbs at that point, so it doesn't take much to make your fertility go way up. I thought they were full of it when its said only a 5% lose is needed lol but guess they were right. so yes ladies stick with the plan and do what they tell you and soon hopefully it will work out for you. great news is most of my pcos symptoms are gone as well. I will say don't get pregnant so soon out from surgery as it has been one scary ride. good luck -
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding post op

the lactation expert at the hospital where I am having my baby said I could have a problem with milk production however there are things you can do. she told me what I eat will be key. lots of protein. also she said drink drink drink because with the sleeve its harder to get enough liquids and that will be your number one thing that will set you back. so stay hydrated. there is also an herb fenugreek that helps increase milk production and is the most widely recommended herb to help with lactation. the lactation lady also said get help immediately so that frustration doesn't set in because that is when you give up. no question is dumb and neither r any concerns. and as mamachef said contact your leche league that is all they do. you might also look for a hospital that offers monthly or weekly free drop in clinics that allow to address milk production, lack and anything else. hope that helps. -
