My very good friend made me some sugar-free pot candies. So good! I am a occasional user, but was very glad to have my "candies". I quit smoking cigarettes for this surgery and I worry if I smoke pot again I will want a cig. I am 4 weeks out and think I will wait a few more weeks, but then again, maybe not! No more cigarettes though!

Okay so I start my two week diet tomorrow and I am super sick today. Like not eating sick, digestive flu sick. But I am still amped about getting me sleeve on May 6th at Spectrum Health in GR. Can't believe its in just two weeks. Besides being sick this is gonna be a great few weeks. I have been getting so much inspiration from this site and Facebook groups. Can't wait to be one of those people with a before and after pic. Yeah -

Just got my date, May 6th in Grand Rapids. I wish it was a little sooner but that can't be helped. On a 1200 cal preop diet. I start my 800 on April 17. I sorta feel that will be easier for me. Only because its an all-or-nothing type thing. If I have no options, making the right one will be easy. Super excited and anxious. -

So the hospital I will be getting my sleeve is the one I worked at for 7 years. I haven't worked there in about three years but mist everyone is still there. The bariatric floor combined with my old unit. Digestive disease. I am very uneasy about seeing all my old coworkers and them knowing about it. Im still friends on Facebook with many of them. What to do? -

I'm a nursing student and a nursing assistant. I have three semester left and I've been an aide for 10 years I also take care of my 88yo Gramma who lives with me. All thus caretaking has made me stressed. All the stress has left me very heavy. I am having my surgery in April, just waiting for approval. Dr said I should no problem. Did I mention I have a toddler too! Haha Started pre-op diet today, no problems so far. Getting super excited and mentally ready for the surgery. I live in West Michigan and can't be happier with the program so far. Everything is expensive so money worries me but its worth it. Love the thread! -

Any April sleevers out there?

April sleever right here. Waiting for the official date but pretty sure it late Apr. Can't wait! I've done a medical weight loss program before and I know that the protein shakes are very doable. I did it for 18 weeks. 2 weeks will be a cakewalk. Just so geeked to finally have a long term goal and plan to a healthy weight and life. -
I am wondering how many days I will need help with my toddler. I am a single mother and asking my step-mom to come stay with us. She lives 4hrs away and is great but has a family of her own. (I can't keep her forever:)) I know overnight for surgery, but how many days before I'm back running after a 2yr old?

We all have a story, good, bad, long, troubled, blessed or any combination. Let me start with the good and blessed. I'm am 28, a mother of one beautiful 2yr old daughter and getting my sleeve surgery late April. Like I said, blessed. Okay so the bad...my weight has been an issue for my whole life. I have had some successes throughout the years but after my daughter was born and the subsequent year off work, 80lbs found their back to me. Omg I am excited to get this process started! Well the last part of the story...the troubled. I am having so much guilt. Guilt about getting this surgery and not losing weight like the contestants on "The Biggest Loser". Am I taking the easy way out? Not sure how to remove these feelings or are they healthy? Enjoying this support site and hoping over the few months, I will get 100% ready for this amazing transition from a tired, unhealthy stressed out person to a healthy, active, exuberant mother.
