    Any March Sleevers?

Im not down much...hard when the scale at home said one thing before I left, another when they weighed me there, then I blew up swollen from all the IV fluids & def gained which they say its pretty common, now Im down a few...I was 230 when I started preop diet 2 weeks ago tomorrow & today, 1 day shy of a week post op (3/13 surg) I'm only down 15. Im a band to sleever & I heard we lose slower than a virgin sleever. I wont compare & be blessed I was even able to have this revision. It will all work out the way it's supposed to in time. Congrats to those with great loses & to those who havent, know u just went thru major surgery & there prob was lots of fluids & every single person's body works differently. Keep on schedule following the eating directions & im confident we will all be Big Losers! Xox ~Sarah

Sleeved 3/13 & ive been freezing & having diarrhea too! I can't figure out why yet... can we get the runs if we eat too fast? Process of elimination I suppose. makes me not even want to eat at all because I end up in the bathroom all day! Grrrrrrrr

    Any March Sleevers?

I only had a little swelling no erosion so i was good to have the removal of my band and the sleeve at the same time. i still cant believe this has happened..i guess that why i have the proof in the picture! I hope he can do it all in one for you. and i hear ya on the co-worker thing...i work at a hospital too but the bariatric program there wouldn't help me so no worry about having anyone know or see anything since i had it way down in Mexico!!! lol

    Any March Sleevers?

This may be strange but i asked the doctor to take a picture of the part of my stomach that he took out along side my lap band he took out that same time...wow...sooo surreal! Best wishes!
  7. I went alone and met several others on my floor. you wont feel weird..bring a teddy bear or a favorite stuffed animal. Yes i'm still a kid at heart and it was comforting to me. Also, there is a phone you are able to use to call your family that is free and they can call you as well. We all share it on the floor. They have wi-fi too. It went fairly quickly and i actually enjoy my alone time, it was completely fine so don't worry about that. I'm now in the hotel room...the Marriott, a big king bed and very clean. Free wi-fi too at hotel is part of the deal, 2 waters, 3 broths & 2 Popsicles a day. I really don't feel hungry at all or thirsty now but i know i need to get my fluids in. They give you a few bottles of Gatorade and some small waters along with your meds and gauze to replace your bandages when you leave..at least this is what they did for me and i went with Ready 4 a change..the girls were phenomenal! They all made me feel right at home. I'll need to go downstairs in the hotel to buy more water since they want us to drink 64oz a day. BTW-be sure to keep asking for juice, water etc when you have your 1st leak test and it's all clear to start ice chips & sipping liquids. They don't bring it to you continuously so just keep asking and get 2 small cups at least. Bring an empty water bottle & they'll fill it up for you so you can have it on hand and add Mio or crystal light to it if you want. 1 more week and you'll be a sleever! It will all be fine!! Oh and ask the dr if he'll take a picture of your stomach that was removed. Dr. Garcia did and had it sitting next to my lapband..looked like a big sausage and a little freaky to see it. He only does it if you ask so don't worry if you don't want to see it. Best of luck!!! ~Sarah
  8. Hey all! Had my surgery yesterday with Garcia in TJ and i feel amazing! a little nausea and dizzy yesterday after trying to walk but it was short lived. The most pain I've felt is the nurses trying to get another iv started after the original one infiltrated. They are not very good at it so be warned you may be stuck a few times. Met some great folks here at Mi Doctor hospital all getting the sleeve with different doctors. We are sleeve sisters for life! I'm excited to start my new life! Best wishes to all in their journeys at whatever point you may be! ~Sarah
