Oh, thanks for explaining that. I was wondering if bug meat was a nickname for something or what. LOL. -
Unresponsive coordinator, anyone else having issues with that?
mooregirl replied to Jiggly Puff's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Your coordinator should be responsive or have notified you of any times they would be unavailable. My coordinator never takes more then 12 hours to respond by phone, email, or Skype. The only time he was unavailable, I knew well in advance he wouldn't be available for those two days. I don't know what I would do without the continual availability and support from my coordinator. -

July 1st'ers -- Only One More Week To Go!
mooregirl replied to Vixynne's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm on my liquid diet and slowly packing. I'm trying to only pack a few things a day so I don't get ahead of myself. I'm stopping in AZ to visit friends for a few days on my way to Mexico so I'm packing for two trips. -
How to handle dehydration
mooregirl replied to patsybrown's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Once you are dehydrated, it can be hard to rehydrate on water alone is what I’ve always been told. I have chronic migraines and once I start throwing up, I can’t stop and get dehydrated and end up at urgent care or the er every time with dehydration. You very likely need iv fluids. Drink gatorade or something with electrolytes while you wait. -

Weird burning pain 9 months out...
mooregirl replied to Angel Rae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
They can do a gallbladder function test if it still seems like gallbladder pain. I think they have you drink a dye? Have you tried that test yet? -
Thank you! Best of luck with your surgery too. Prayers for a smooth, successful surgery and a thin and healthy outcome. Yes, it has been rough but the town will rebuild and things will get back to normal. I’m just thankful none of my family was injured. I would love to keep in touch. Best wishes!

Lightweights in the house! Any more people with less to lose/less BMI's?
mooregirl replied to MumtazG38's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm having surgery July 1st. I'm 31 years old and 5'1" and weigh 195. I'm about a size 12 or loose 14. Nobody believes I weigh what I do. I have a strong family history of diabetes, arthritis, and high blood pressure. I don't want any of that. Only one person in my family is really obese besides me. I'm the only fat cousin, sister, daughter, etc. Because I'm so short, I would love to be a size 4 or smaller!!!! I'm worried about loose skin and loosing my boobs 38 dd. but, I saved for this surgery so I will start saving again for plastics I guess. It's so great to hear everyone's success stories. I hope an pray I will be a success story too!!! -

mooregirl replied to KittyLouSou's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome. I hope it works. You will have to let me know. I’m curious too. I found those at work and didn’t have time to email them. My surgery is July 1 in Mexico. -

Not sure whats going on!
mooregirl replied to NeverBeTheSameAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Drink something other than Water like Gatorade or pedialite. You can also mix them half with water to dilute them. Often, if you are dehydrated, just drinking water won't rehydrate you fast enough. You need electrolytes. Some people need a little help getting their kidneys going again after anesthesia too. Drink something with some electrolytes and like every one else says, see your doc! -

I took topamax for years for migraines but couldn't tolerate the 'missing words' any longer. I am just starting it and on a low dose to try to decrease the severity and frequency of migraines. I'm about to get Botox shots around my neck and forehead too.

Thanks! I have an email out to my dr but my neurologist just started me on it and I didn't know if I should wait or go ahead and start. The neurologist wanted me to start it ASAP so I was just curious.
