We choose who we want to be and you are a shining example of that. It takes a strong person to go through what you have and pick yourself up. I'm sure every person who reads your story is proud of you but nobody should be more proud than you. You are an amazing woman, keep going strong! Jamie

I’m so glad to hear that you are on your way to healing. I’m sorry for any negativity you received from people too. This is a hard decision to make and you have to go into eyes wide open. It is a surgery and there are inherent risks. You are cutting out a large portion of a vital organ. It won’t always be butterflies and rainbows. It’s hard. It can be risky. If someone says anything bad to you because your story isn’t all sunshine, then they are likely being closed minded and not seeing the big picture they need to take into consideration. I searched and searched and saw plenty of statistics that were clear that there is a chance of complications. I’m proud of you for telling your story. I wish you nothing but the best, continued healing and getting back to a peaceful place for you and your family.

I can't drink most any juice or plain Water. I have only had water with the powder propel zero favoring in it. I'm able to get all my water in that way though. My concern with sweet tea would just be that you are starting off with empty calories? Keep trying stuff. You will find something that goes down. Good luck. Jamie

I had surgery on July 1st and back at my desk job today, July 8th. I think it all depends on what you do and how accommodating your job is. Jamie

I had surgery Monday. I went alone. It was pretty good. I had no issues being there alone. Jamie

I'm at the Marriott too.

I couldn't remember words was the worst. It made some foods taste weird. I didn't like ice cream while I was taking it. It made my hair fall out.

I don't get that feeling but I take it at night only so I'm asleep... I don't really get any feelings I know of from it.

I've seen several people on here who are two years or more out that haven't regained. From what I've seen people on here say, you have to try to gain back.

I'm almost the same as you. I'm 5'1 and 195. My last pcp visit she was like you are fat and have to do something about it now. I told her I was doing this surgery and she was very supportive and has already arranged a follow up schedule since I'm having surgery in Mexico. You will do great. There are so many people on here to support you and answer your questions. It's great!
