    Several Years Out?

I am two years out and I do think that once you are awhile out from surgery you don't have all the questions that you do in the beginning and you don't need all the support. I have lost 113% of my excess body weight and have maintained that for over a year. I know that I am in prime time for starting to regain. I fluctuate 6lbs and as soon as I get to that 5 lb gain I start to get nervous and bump my water up cause I know I must be eating instead of drinking.
  3. I'm two years out and it still happens. It can be loud enough for others to hear if its quite while I'm eating.
  4. I just had my two year anniversary. I was horribly nauseous for about three months. I was taking oral zofran and had a scopalomine patch behind my ear. A lot of my nausea was learning how to eat the beginning is such a learning curve and figuring out when to stop is key especially when you don't have a lot of feeling in your pouch in the beginning to be able to tell you're getting full until its too late so a lot of times you just need to stop eating just because!

    Pouch pain

Does anyone get an achy pouch during their periods? I am 2 years post op and I have very painful periods of which they just had me start taking naprosyn two days before and the first two days of my period, but my pouch gets really achy and sore during that time too and I forgot to mention it at my two year appointment. Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this.
  6. My surgeon I'd Dr. Schaeur my surgery was at Cleveland clinic in Cleveland Ohio.

Plus I hate to buy to many clothes when I'm not done losing yet. So happy I had surgery it has been my life saver! Whoops don't know why my pic is upside down and didn't know how to fix it! Sorry:-)

    Her Surgery

What a beautiful post of love support and concern.
  11. I also have trouble figuring this one out. I love Italian wedding soup from the local grocery store. I can drink the broth and eat the meatballs and have no trouble the thing that keeps me full longer is that I make sure I have a good serving of the meatballs and spinach in my bowl
  12. I am a med/surg nurse and i took off 6 weeks. As much as my short term disability allowed me! I was extremely nAuseous and dehydrated so week 4 I needed to come in for iv fluids and I was on po zofran and scopalomine patches until about week 8
  13. Mine too I've had no problems with it

    Getting worried

I also had one about a month ago. I think a combo of the catheter and being dehydrated and my drinking enough water to flush things out. A course of cipro and everythings fine!
  15. One of the things that really pushed me to have surgery was the embarrassment that I felt last summer not being able to ride rides at the amusement park and having to get off of rides because I didn't fit. This all happened in front of friends of ours too. We are on our way home from the amusement park now and I fit on every ride! Even the kiddie roller coaster that I have never been able to fit on! So excited it feels so good!
