as u see the weight comin off , it gets a little easier their r tough days ahead but honestly when u see the weight coming off , u know it was worth it sorry havent replied before now but i had to have my gallbladder out hope to speak again luv kym

hi im kym from redditch worcestershire, i was banded end of september 2006 by mr super at the heartlands weight when banded 32 stone weight now 15 stone got 2 more to go good luck for 2008

hi , its my birthday to day and the start to a new fresh year.. had my band fitted end of sept 2006 and i weighed 32 stones (448 pounds) i now weigh 15 stone ( 212 pounds) i was bigger before i was banded i weighed another 4 stone , so i was 36 stone to start with but with determination and thewill to prove i could lose weight and so they would do the banding i stuck it out and lost the two stone they asked me to and two more i was well shocked. well ive got 2 stone to go and they said i might be able to get cosmetic surgery for my lose skin . i cant believe ive got this far. its been really tough some times but the way i feel now has made it all for the best well happy new year to everybody and keep up the good work u r all doing ... the band isnt for every body but its been the best thing ive ever done. and i would definately reccommend it to every body .. good luck to all for 2008 ( its time for me to live now) love kym

hi. ive had the tummy bubbles but havent had the heartburn. my doc told me to ignore tummy bubbles as it doesnt mean ur hungry (the worst part is when its really noisy)

hi, i too have got a lot of weight to lose ive lost 12stone now and still ave at least 9 stone to go ...i had your worrys to , ieven got morbid for a while but her i am 9 months on , 2 fills, on second fill at mo and it feels tight.. u will ave doubts but for me it is the best thing i ave ever done good luck love kym

hi, simon, welcome to the rest of your life... if you need to chat get in touch ..i had my band done end of september and it is the best thing i ave ever done. weights coming off slowly thought it would be quicker. but the way im feeling already makes me want to achieve my goal good luck hope u feel better soon

if youve done weight wathchers or any similar diet, youll know portions. try to keep them to that and drink plenty of fluids as well. keep going

keep up the good work...would you have lost the weight before the band and still have kept it of? its not easy and i too have bad days but when i think of what i have achieved . the good days win hands down...i too miss sandwiches but im learning to eat other foods... you can do it kym

forget about your son and daughter in law, you are doing this for you , hell have more birthdays and you will be able to celebrate with him next year and have lost some or all of your excess weight. that would definately some thing to celebrate then ... i was on a lot of medication for diabetes , blood pressure and other probelms .. the dr cut me right down ..ive still got a long way to go but with the support of the people here on this website i now know i can do ...... good luck kym

hi , im kym, this is my first time writing on a forum. ive been overweight all of my life. but as time as gone on ive got bigger and bigger. after years of trying all diets and remedys, i manage to get a appointment to see a consultant to see what procedure would be best for me. my consultant was mr super who agreed to do a lapband for me, i had to wait for a few months for the surgery but i swear it was the best decision ive ever made. my surgery was done the end of september 2006 and since then ive lost the weight slowly . so far ive lost 161 lbs and have just had my second refill , so im on fluids for a while . id like to talk to other people who have had the same surgery, cause they know what my going through. (the wanting to be normal what ever that may be).
