    Protein panic attack

I really like the Syntrax nectars. Several companies offer sample packs. (Some let you choose your flavors -- others pick for you.) Any time I use a plain vanila Protein powder (usually Isopure -- best protein/carb ratio), I always add a splash of Torani SF salted caramel. It's really sweet too, so you have to be careful with how much you put in there.

    Protein panic attack

Same here! The Unjury chocolate is really, really sweet. Have you tried making protein ice cream? Check out theworldaccordingtoeggface for some recipes if you want to try it.

june 6th weight lost check in

I've lost 22 since surgery on the 6th, but 52 since the pre-op diet. I wish I could swim now, but my doctor said not until 6 weeks out. I had really thought it was going to be four weeks, so I had a beach trip planned for the 4th that I canceled. I have another one scheduled for the 17th, so I sure hope this last incision heals some more in the next two weeks. Are y'all's completely healed? I went to Urgent Care pretty early with it. I was very worried that I was getting a serious infection, but apparently, it's just taking longer.
  4. Wow! Y'all are doing great! I'm only down 18 pounds since surgery, but 49.4 since I began the pre-op diet. I've lost and regained the same .1 pound over and over during the last week.
  5. I'm still losing, but instead of 2-3 pounds a day, it's now .1 or so. I liked it much better when it seemed to be falling off.

    Isopure

I like the RTD apple-melon and the alpine punch. The coconut is just too sweet to me. My only problem is the little bits of white protein that I literally have to wipe off my tongue. At first it didn't bother me, but it seems like it's worse than ever. Does anyone else have that problem.
  7. I don't know exactly — 10 days or so. I think it just depends on the bank or credit card company. It was just like a hotel authorization in the States. Don't worry about it. I'm sure it will come off soon.
  8. They authorized 1000 pesos (around $78.00) when I checked in before surgery and again when I checked in after surgery, but both authorizations have fallen off.
  9. Can someone please help me know when I'm full? I have had no problems drinking as much Water and Protein as I need, so I'm so scared that I've stretched my sleeve. I have been on pureed for about three days now. I've mostly eaten refried Beans with some melted cheese and Greek yogurt on top (boy, are they good!). I just heat up three tablespoons and eat that. I wouldn't dare eat another bite for fear that I'd rip my stomach open or some other horrid complication. I just really don't know how to tell if I'm full. I guess that may have been my problem for the last 50 years, but it seems like it's a really necessary skill now. I keep reading that I will know, but I haven't. (I haven't felt hungry either.) I don't know if I should try to eat more or keep measuring my food. If I should keep measuring, at what point do I up my intake? The surgery and recovery have been so easy, but I really need some answers on the amount to eat. I've emailed the nutritionist who works with my doctors in Mexico, but I didn't feel like I got a real answer from her. I've tried to find a nutritionist here who has experience with bariatric patients, but, so far, they all seem to be associated with a surgery program. They will allow me to make an appointment, but only after I attend a seminar describing the surgery that I've already had. I just read a post on here about someone who had to be sleeved twice because they left his/her stomach too big the first time, so now I have a brand new concern! :-) What if this is my problem?!?!? I'm really not usually such an alarmist, but I think the fact that I had my surgery in Mexico, and my insurance will probably not pay for complications arising from surgery outside the US, has me in fear. Also, I'm worried sick about my hair falling out, so I have protein on the brain constantly. Any advice, reassurance, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
