    Coffee after being sleeved

My docs etc told us no caffeine after surgery whatsoever. With that said, I'm drinking 1-2 cups a day. No worries on my end, all seems to be going well. I am about 8 months out and started drinking coffee again back 2 months ago.
  2. Starting weight - 311 Surgery weight - 294 Current weight - 209 Sleeves on 2/13/13 - total loss of 102 pounds. I don't recognize myself in my old photos.
  3. Here's a pic of me from about 3 weeks ago. Again, I've lost 92 pounds in a little over 5 months.
  4. I haven't posted here in a while but thought I'd share an update. Sleeved - Feb 13th Pre-surgery weight - 311 Surgery weight - 294 Today - 219.6 Total weight lost is about 92 pounds. Honestly I pretty much eat what I want but I ALWAYS eat protein throughout the day and eat it first. Dairy doesn't settle to well with me but I can tolerate it in small amounts. 220 was my goal and I reached it yesterday. My next goal is 200 and I think I'd really be happy there.
  5. Oops, yes, 2/13... Of course 31 pounds since my operation. Sorry about that.
  6. Sleeved on 3/13. 311 was my high weight, 294 on day of surgery. Today I weighed in at 263 for a total weight loss of 48 pounds. All my clothes pretty much no longer fit and I'm feeling pretty good.

    Help! Having trouble eating...

Sorry for all the typos in that last post. I should have proof read my iPhone autocorrects. Snapple iced tea, not snapper... Lol.

    Help! Having trouble eating...

I was sleeves on February 13th and have lost 31# since surgery and 46 overall. Definitely feeling good about my weight loss but eating has been tough. The first 2.5-3 weeks was pretty smooth but the transition to soft foods was really hard. At the same time I was really tired of eating all of the liquid foods (cream Soups, broths etc) so I found myself getting really sluggish and tired. I was back to work but ended up having to take extra days off due to the sluggishness. A few days have passed since then and I'm starting to feel a but better. My surgeon suggested taking in an extra Protein shake or bar. BAR? I didn't know I could eat a bar, what great news. I tried Pure Protein Bars and they went down pretty well, just had to chew them up well. The extra 20g of protein from those bars really helped! Last night my family had cheese pizza (lent) and I decided to have a very small slice and it was awesome. I was able to eat it because it was a take and bake and really soft. I was really happy to eat something normal! Afterwards we went to my son's little league game and I tried a few bites of a plain soft pretzel, again, went down great. It was really soft, bland but tastes great and filled me up. We have family in town tonight and are planning on going out to dinner. We've decided on Mexican food so I was happy to hear people were able to eat refried Beans, I'll definitely give that a shot tonight! liquids have been tough but I started breaking up the Water by drinking diet snapper peach iced tea. Tasted very good and seems to go down much better. I keep telling myself that this will get better and like many of you, I've had times asking myself why did I do this, but slowly I'm seeing get better and I'm hopeful for the future. Take care and remember why you did this in the first place and that'll help you get through this.
  9. I like the Costco protein drinks but I really like Maxpro powder from Max Muscle. 35 grams of protein per drink and very easy to blend with water. Try the chocolate brownie, very good!
