I'm 5' and started at 210. I was 168 at my 1 month apt:) my goal is 120 -
I got off mine the day of surgery which was march 20th. I'm 3 days late and I'm always on time. Seems like it's normal after the surgery

Post-Op Taste Change Question

I will be 4 weeks post op tomorrow and I am just now able to taste things. Some are better some are worse. I just love that I can sample a bite or two of everything on my plate and get full and satisfied:) I was afraid stuff would taste different forever lol -
I will be 1 months post op on the 20th. I am still struggling to eat because nothing tastes good anymore so it's hard to get it down. If anyone experienced this how long did it take for stuff to taste normal again

Thanks for the reply:) I haven't had hunger or cravings yet it's just so hard for me to eat bc everything is so bland. It's like a chore lol -
I'm 3 weeks out and feel the same way. It's like eating is a chore and nothing tastes like it should. My dr said it does get better that the change is mostly from the anesthesia.

They just put a bandage over mine too. It doesn't hurt it just is a weird feeling when they pull the tubing out

I just got mine out today. 8 days after surgery. Praising The Lord it's gone!

I'm nervous for how I'm goin to get my nutrients in on puréed food. I can't have over 5g sugar or 10g fat. I need to call and see if that applies to phase 2

I am on day of protein shakes too. Started last night for dinner. I get a sensible meal so today that was baked chicken and broccoli! Anyone have any good recipes for phase 2? We are less than 2 weeks until surgery!!! Yay!!

I agree! Usually ones with hyper are thin and always on the go. Yet I have no energy and can eat like I'm a bottomless pit. I actually changed endocrinologist bc she asked me how Id feel after surgery but not losing weight bc of the graves. So I'm glad it can be done:) thank you!

I have Graves' disease and am on tapezol. Having it has made me question weight loss as well bc since starting meds I've gained 2lbs a month. Ill be sleeved march 20th
