    removal???

I too think that you should have the gall bladder done first & wait & see. If it were me I would hate to lose my band after losing 140 lbs. If he insists, then I would seek a second opinion. Good luck to you & keep us posted..........Jess

Hi & welcome! My doc made me do the sugar free clear liquids before my surgery too. It was not the easiest thing I have ever done, but I made it, & you will too! I had to do it for 2 weeks though. Congrats on your surgery date! Keep us posted!

    Banded 9/8/05

I loved tomato soup & actually still eat a lot of it. The cream soups are also good. If you like avacados & your doc says you can have them, they were what brought me from the edge of boredom with the mushies. LOL! I mashed them up with a little lemon juice & garlic powder!!

    newbie banded 8/17

Consider the time until you get your first fill as "the healing time". If you don't lose, don't worry about it. I know, easier said than done! Go to the food section and I believe there is a thread around the top of the page that gives a list of the foods in the different stages (liquids, & mushies). If you are past these stages then just try to eat healthy & get your protein in (I think 60-70g/day). Stay away from bread! Congrats & welcome to Band land! I hope someone else can post for you. I'm sure I forgot something! Oh yeah, as Vinesqueen says, "Chew to goo."

Add rest of ingredients & stir til cranberries begin to pop & sugar is dissolved, about 15 minutes. Cool & serve.
