My thoughts & prayers are with all of you! I'm in Arkansas & everyone here is looking forward to the rain from Rita, but I had rather just stay hot & dry than for anyone to go through another hurricane like Katrina. If anyone needs a place to stay & can tolerate a grumpy man, you are more than welcome here! LOl!!..........Jess

Stuffed Feta chicken Breasts 1 package of skinless boneless chicken breasts or tenders 1 (4 oz.) pkg. feta cheese 1/2 tsp. basil 1 tsp. pimentos or oil packed sundried tomatoes chopped 2 TBLS. Hellman's Mayo or plain yogurt 1/4 tsp. cavenders seasoning If using chicken breasts, using a knife, make a pocket cutting into the side of the breasts. Mix the feta, basil, pimentos or tomatoes, mayo or yogurt & cavenders. Spoon into pocket made in the chicken breasts. Place stuffed chicken breasts in greased casserole dish. If any filling is left over, spoon over top of chicken breasts. Season with more cavenders. Cover casserole with foil. Bake in preheated, 350 degree oven for 35 - 45 minutes, taking foil off in the last 10 minutes of baking. If you use chicken tenders - Place chicken tenders in greased casserole & spoon feta mixture over top of tenders. Sprinkle with more Cavenders. Cover with foil & bake as directed above. I didn't have sun dried tomatoes or plain yogurt so I improvised with pimento & Hellman's Mayo. It was wonderful! I think if you rolled the chicken in some shake-n-bake it would be even better. Enjoy!

Evening Eating - How do you stop the cravings/temptation?
Jessiebear replied to Parvathi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know everyone says no gum, but I was never one to swallow it anyway. Gum is how I get by though. If I just have to have something then I have a Blue Belle sf chocolate crunch ice cream bar. They are so good! Since I quit smoking yesterday it has been really hard. Thank God for gum! -

Should I band or NO? Is it worth it?
Jessiebear replied to Poodles's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Poodles! Welcome! Gald you found us! I too have PCOS. I was put on glucophage too, but we just never could reach a therapeutic level with it, so I just stopped taking it. I decided to get banded for many reasons. PCOS being one of them. I would say that it has been harder for me. I am 8 months out & have only lost 35 lbs.. But that is 35 I would never have lost if not banded. I say go for it! It has been the best thing that has ever happened to me! Just know going in to it that you will have to work a little harder than the bandsters without PCOS. We're here for you! Oh & BTW, before I was banded my cycles were nonexistant, Since I was banded, I have had 2 cycles on my own! Ta Da!.....Jess -
Hey Molly! I just went to Amazon.com & they have a lot of these DVDs at really discounted prices. I got a new toning DVD with RS & 80s Blast for $23.95 shipping included!

Too cool! I didn't know that! Thanks Mandy!

Sounds like you got it covered! My Mom bought some Knorr boullion cubes (they're in a box) & I think they were far better than broth out of a can or regular boullion cubes! She also bought a ham soup base (I think it was in a jar), it was ham broth with teeny tiny ham pieces in it, that I strained out, & it was delicious! Very filling! Good luck to you! Hope you have a speedy recovery!

WTG! I think everyone waits to hear that they have reached that spot - restriction! Keep up the good work!

Any prior Gastric Bypass people here?
Jessiebear replied to mcinmd's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My mind was wandering today & I realized that I had met someone whowas banded over her GBP. It was about 3 years ago. I was working in the hospital & she was my patient. She had gained a lot of weight back from her bypass & her doc recommended the band & she was doing great with it. I'm sorry, but I can't remember her name. I thought you might like to know about her though. That was actually the first time I had heard about the band. She had it done in Dallas. I'm sorry that's all I can remember. I can't believe I forgot about her! She was a psychic & I didn't know it & when I touched her to do a dressing change she went stiff as a board & proceeded to give me a reading. Made every hair on my body stand up! Anyway! I hope this helps you!
