I think a lot if not most of us did this! I'm sorry! I can't give you any advice! I did it too. Just remember that any weight you may put on pre-band is just that much more you'll have to get off after. I gained almost 30lbs in 2 months before I had my surgery. Good luck to you! $14,000 cash! I had been researching the bypass originally when a friend told me about this doc in my area who was training to do the Lap-band. I was turned down by my insurance company twice for bypass. I was an emotional wreck after fighting with them for a year. I had talked to my Mom & Grandma about all of this during this time. My Grandmother had just received an inheritance & she gave it to me. I didn't ask or anything. She said she couldn't think of a better way to spend $14,00! I'm blessed! I love my Grandma!

Yep I had it too! I was so empty that I could take a drink & listen to it traveling through my bowels as I ran to the bathroom! TMI! Sorry! "Liquid in" "Liquid out" Pretty much sums it up I think! It'll go away post-op when you get to the mushies.

Goodness! So sorry you are going through this! Make sure that your doc cultured the incision. You have to have a culture to make sure you are getting the right antibiotics. Hope you heal up soon!

I'm right there with you sister! I LOOOOOOOVVEEEEE chocolate! I will give this a try. When I'm weak I usually eat a 3 musketeer bite size bar, but I'm finding that they are just too sweet now. Go figure! Too sweet!

Okay, I keep reading posts where new bandsters ask if anyone cheated in the pre-op diet. I had totally forgotten about this, but it is so funny! I was 1 week in on the sugar free liquid pre-op diet & totally miserable. My husband went & bought a pound of ham for his lunch. I broke down & ate some of it! No bread, just ham. This went on for 2 days. My husband came in one afternoon & decided to make himself a sandwich. A puzzled look came over his face when he pulled the ham out of the fridge. He turns to me and says, "Have you been eating ham?" Caught & totally pissed off, I replied, "What are you? The ham police?!" I don't think I'll ever live this down!! LOL! It's funny now! But I was pissed at the time! Anyone else get caught?

It's finally cool here too!! YAY!!! The windows are open! Hope it stays like this!
