I had to stay overnight. I did a barium swallow the next morning & then I was released. I get my fills under fluoro. I had no restriction after my first 2 fills. For my third fill, my doc filled my band to capacity, I swallowed barium & he slowly took saline out until the barium passed through the band. It worked! I finally have restriction & have lost steadily ever since.

I really need to have this done too! I too have PCOS & the beard & mustache that is better than my husbands. LOL!! Will they do your chin & upper lip at the same time? I even have to shave my sideburns. PCOS sucks!!

....another one opens. I firmly believe in that! My horoscope did say to take it easy & rest for the rest of this week. Maybe the back pain is some kind of cosmic voodoo because I wasn't taking it easy. LOL!!

I missed all of you too! Now my back is trying to go out! I was being good too! Just bent over to get some clothes off the floor! Oh well. I've been here before!! I was working weekend option in a nursing home. 4 hours of sleep between 16 hour shifts was just not enough. I hated leaving some of my residents but I had to do what I had to do! But wow! I sure have missed out on a lot of stuff here! Sorry to hear so many of us are having problems!

<p>I'm in too! This will be the first challenge I have participated in. Since it's a new year & will start on my B-day, I can't think of a better time for me to start my participation. I like the 1 NSV & the longer challenge.</p> 1/3/06 - OOPS! I gained some weight over the holidays that just showed up this morning. What a great birthday present to myself! Okay so I'll have to work extra hard to get this 10 lbs back off again. So my official weigh in weight is 305 lbs. My goals are to at least lose 0.5 lb each week, & to limit my eating out to at least once a week. Good luck everyone!

Okay, so I finally got around to doing this. The first pic is about 1 month before surgery at my highest weight of 350 lbs. I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a picture of a picture. LOL! The second picture is 11 months after surgery & 55 lbs. gone. It was taken this Christmas in the boots & jeans my hubby gave me for Christmas. If someone would like to put these side by side & resize them, that would be great! Thanks!

Dr. Rex Luttrell in Little Rock does fills & the surgery. $15,000 for surgery. Fills are free for first year unless fluoroscopy is used ($100-$200).
