I'm IR too & also a turtle. Like Vines, I wish I had the answer for you! NSVs are important though. The scales will move in their own time. When the scales move for me, they usually move big, & then they just sit there again for months at a time! & yes, fills are important! I didn't have any significant weight loss until after my third fill & I am going in this week for another fill. Hang in there! It WILL happen! You can PM me if you want.

Yes. It happened to me too. I'm not gonna tell you what I did though, cause I'm sure some people would yell at me! LOL! Call your doc if it bothers you. He may snip the little booger out for ya. As long as it's not draining or red or swollen or anything like that, it should be okay. Put some TAO on it (triple antibiotic ointment). I also boiled mine out with peroxide.

I know you can buy it on line. That is probably your best bet. I found it at Drug Emporium here in Arkansas.

It is a different consistency than diaper rash ointment. I don't know how to explain it. It is all natural & has beeswax & other goodies in it. My Grandpa is a beekeeper & says that honey has antibacterial properties in it. So i don't know if this has anything to do with it's effectiveness or not. But it is almost a miracle cure. At least for me it is! It will clear anything up in a day or two & almost immediately takes the sting & burning out! And it stays on until you shower. No need for reapplication! I highly recommend it. I have tried all the diaper rash stuff & for me this stuff is the ticket! LOL!! I am in no way affiliated with this company!! I just wanted to share! LOL!!!

If you are strong enough to wait a couple of days, they usually drop the prices on each item! It's hard to do though! The jeans started out at $14.99. 2 days later they were $11 somehting!

I am going in for another fill this week. I have restriction, but I just don't feel like it is enough. I think I am right on the edge of my sweet spot. So my question is, for those of you who have hit your sweet spot, what exactly does it feel like? How much can you eat? What can you eat? What can you not eat? Thanks everyone! I think I am one of the less aggressive bandsters when it comes to fills. I always give it a few months to see what will happen. I lost 10 lbs after my last fill, which has been more than 3 months ago. But I have lost & gained this same 10 lbs. so much I am about to scream! This is what made me decide to try another fill. So thanks again!! I hope I do reach my sweet spot this time!!! I will let ya'll know in a couple of weeks!

It's not easy but you'll get through it! Let your tummy heal & follow your docs orders! Just come here & vent! We've all been through it (or a lot of us have). I was sorely tempted to cheat, so I stayed with my Mom! LOL!! She nipped that in the bud quick! Chew some gum, read, get on the net, crochet, just do something to keep your mind occupied & your hands busy!! Good luck!

I may do a combination of different things. This girl is the reason I have my band! We worked together in the hospital & then she went to work in a same day surgery center & was working with a nurse, who was marrying a nurse from Dallas, who worked in a lapbanding center. He was in touch with my surgeon & got him introduced to the Lap band & the rest was history! I was looking into GB & had only heard of the Lap band. I didn't know it was even being done in Arkansas yet. So anyway, I always do something big for her. She was the means to making my life good again! Thanks again everyone!

You're not alone! A good friend of my Mom's had to have his cpap for surgery too! His surgery went perfectly!
