Did you, or will you ever, feel 'normal'?
Jessiebear replied to Constance's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Welcome! Nice to meet you! I'm having the same experiences in eating that DeLarla did. At least I am now. I just had a really tight fill. But before this last fill, I could pretty much eat normally, just a little slower. I think it has a lot to do with how tight your fill is. Good luck to you! -

Yep! I have them too! Not from kids (don't have any), just weight gain. I can remember going to a slumber party right as I was hitting puberty & my big boobs appeared. I had these horrible red stretch marks all over my boobs & when we were changing into our night clothes everyone freaked out cause they thought someone had clawed me. Of course they were all flat-chested skinny minnies! It's funny now, but it made me so self concious then! I think the weirdest place i have stretch marks are in my ACs (the bend of my arms). Try explaining that when you have blood drawn!

Hey Doll! I overdid it with you today! I went to a baby shower. Enough said! Just climb back up in that wagon tomorrow morning. Tonight we'll just sleep under it!

Question for all you Moms & Dads out there....
Jessiebear replied to Jessiebear's topic in The Lounge
I guess I could tell y'all what all I ended up getting her. I think it's the least I could do since everyone put so much effort into giving me ideas. My Mom & my G-ma went in with me so we gave her quite a bit but it wasn't bad split 3 ways. & I'm really glad we did cause not many people showed up. Amy's kind of obnoxious but she has a heart of gold! So here goes! 1. Lanolin breast cream & nursing pads 2. Budreaux's butt paste 3. 2 packs of size 3 diapers 4. big pack of wipes 5. digital thermometer 6. baby manicure set 7. classical music cd for baby 8. motzart for Mom cd 9. crib soother (it was motion & sound activated & played womb sounds & 20 minutes of recorded sounds. Lonnie picked it out. It was way cool!) 10. 2 packs of onesies 11. 2 packs of gowns 12. 2 packs of hats 13. 2 sets of small pyrex bowls 14. 3 packs of burp cloths 15. a leather photo envelope 16. baby wash & lotion 17.baby wash cloths 18. a pack of flannel receiving blankets 19. a super soft fleece blanket 20. a super super soft teddy bear I had everything but the diapers, wipes & nursing pads in a big basket. I made little bunnies out of the wash cloths. Then I wrapped the whole basket in lemon colored netting with a big polkadot bow. It was really cute & I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it!! Thanks everyone! It was a hit!!!! -

She got the cutest diaper bag!! It was handmade & it was black with pink polkadots! I loved it! I would have carried it for a purse. I looked at the wipes warmer too, but I already had a basket full of stuff. If she doesn't get one by the time the baby is here I may buy her one. I can remember the look of utter shock on my little brother & sister's faces when that cold wipe hit their bums! A warmer would definately be good! -

Here is a diaper cake that she made too. I ended up making a basket stuffed full of different things that was really cute, but I forgot to take a picture of it . Thanks for the ideas everybody! She ended up with 2 diaper genies & tons of yellow stuff! She definately made a haul though! -

Pat, Here is the wreath that Amy's Sister-in-law made for her. It was kinda plain, but it was cute. -
Well.....Lonnie came home late & I don't go up on top of the mountain by myself (too many crack-head hillbillies running around!) I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Good one Thinjen! Sad, but true.

I hadn't even noticed that we were banded about the same time. That's pretty cool! I thought I was pretty much a loner. I haven't attempted alcohol yet. I'm afraid I'd end up hurling! Plus my better half had to quit drinking for his job about 10 years ago (he's on call 24-7-365). Have fun!

I like the Richard Simmons tapes. They are a lot of fun & low impact.

Nykee, I applaud you for your honesty! That has been the hardest thing for me. Being honest about what your eating is the only way to make positive changes. I know I battle with this everyday! I think my fill is almost as tight as yours. I think we got our last fills about the same time. Good luck to you Nykee!

Alright Nana!!! Sounds good!!!

We live in a saddle between two mountains. The snow has stopped & is even melting some. I hope this doesn't turn into ice. I'll be stuck! When Lonnie gets home, I'll make him take me up on the mountain & get some pics of some trees for you Lisa. LOL!! You don't have trees in Nevada? I thought everybody had trees!

Where are you Kelly?
-
I will after it snows some more. I promise!

my front steps :clap2: :clap2:

But then again......everyone would want DeLarla to be their secret pal. & it wouldn't be a secret when you got her gift! LOL!!!!
-
I'm in! I love giving people stuff!! Maybe we should start a secret pal thing so y'all don't keep having to redraw names & organize everything? Iuse to do this at my old job & it was lots of fun. Every 6 months we redrew names so any new people could get in on it if they wanted to. Just a thought?!
-
LOL! Now that would be great! I can't let my MOM read this. She would buy one just so she could do that! She's twisted!! Have fun Terri!!
-
That was cool! LOL! And I am smiling!
