:kiss2: :kiss2: Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!

I also want to say how awesome I think it is that you & P'nut are so strong for each other! It WOULD be easier if we all had that kind of support & strength!
-
First of all, I want to thank you for caring enough to post this. I do agree with you. And I have thrown a couple of fortunes worth of junk food out over my life time. What you said is simple & effective! It does work! The problem is being able to do it & being able to commit to it. To stick with it. If your average every day obese person could do this, then noone would be obese, there would be no need for WLS, we would not be here right now & you would be a wealthy man for curing obesity. I applaud you for your strength & willpower!! You are winning my friend! I think for a lot of people, food is their drug of choice. I know it has been mine for many years. I'm getting better though! Every day I get a little better!

I bet that was priceless! Man! I wish I lived closer! I would like to have a party with my Mom & her friends! That would be freakin' hilarious!!!! By the way, I love the stuff that I ordered from you! How many calories does the buttercream icing x-scream have in it anyway? Maybe I'm not really on a plateau?

Yay!!!! Clear liquids include: jello, broth, fruit juices, popcicles & sprite. Have fun! LOL!! But you are so lucky you only have to do it for 2 days! I did it for 2 weeks!! Congrats!

It's much easier when you have good support! Congrats!!

I'm staying far, far, far away from that stuff!!!

Alright!!! I'm so glad!! & congrats on quitting smoking!! Yay!!!! -
I have been wondering about this for a while now. Could a tight or too tight fill cause ischemia? & could this lead to erosion? ischemia - Local & temporary deficiency of blood supply due to obstruction of the circulation to a part.

Ischemia from having a tight fill?
Jessiebear replied to Jessiebear's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sorry! I guess I should have worded this better. Could a tight fill or too tight fill cause ischemia (meaning decreased blood flow to areas of the stomach)? And could this cause or possibly lead to erosion? Ever since my last fill this question keeps popping into my head. I think this is a good question for my doc! It's bugging me. In medicine, ischemia (Greek ισχαιμία, isch- is restriction, hema or haema is blood) is a restriction in blood supply, generally due to factors in the blood vessels, with resultant damage or dysfunction of tissue. It may also be spelled ischaemia or ischæmia. Mechanism Rather than in hypoxia, a more general term denoting a shortage of oxygen, ischæmia is an absolute or relative shortage of the blood supply to an organ. Relative shortage means the mismatch of blood supply (oxygen delivery) and blood request for adequate oxygenation of tissue. Ischæmia can also be described as an inadequate flow of blood to a part of the body, caused by constriction or blockage of the blood vessels supplying it. -
Thanks for posting this. I have been coming to the same conclusions. Even after a really tight fill I have reached a stopping point after another 10 lb. loss. I'm gonna have to move my butt!!

I have a good friend who is getting ready to have her first child. I have to come up with a gift for her shower. My question is, what is the one thing that you could not have done without after having your baby? I don't have kids so any info is appreciated here! :help:
-
I know you weren't!! It was a good one though! Actually, I don't think I have ever heard that one. Believe me I have heard just about everything! I mean my last name is McCoy! Let's all say it together...."Are you the real McCoy?" So original!! LOL!!!

I know you northeners are thinking "big woop!" But we hardly ever get snow without it turning to ice. But the days not over yet! LOL! I just had to share!
