Metal, XRays, Airports, and MRIs
goodtimes replied to dan.sm's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe the port turned or something. It is kinda weird though. And my crazy self didn't even think about. I raised my hands up like i was guilty and said "I didn't steal nothing" you must be from chicago cota129; jewel's is the only store i know of there. i am originally from there. -

goodtimes replied to mybabydaddy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Same here with my doctor. my last fill will be about 2 months when i go in january for my 5th fill. i have been losing the required weight. I agree, u need to call your dr. and let him know what's going on!!! -
Had first fill.... do feel much different
goodtimes replied to OnmywayJenn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It really does depend on the person. I am going in for my 5th fill in january and I can't wait. although i have been struggling with chicken, bread, i am resorting back to the old days with the soft foods. -
lolololol, i had a feeling that we were going to get hit this year. oh well, we need it and its better than the cold weather brrrrr!!!!

I hear ya about trying to explain to people. They still look at mr like i'm crazy. I even start to get a little ticked. Even trying to explain to my sistah-friend, she still was looking at me like i was crazy. then when all fails, i start to sound like i don't know what i'm talking about and then the conversation changes. (hee-hee) it works every time!!

Just remember not to drink during and chew very slowly, if not, then it will come back up and its very painful.

Why is it that the surgeons are not filling!!!
goodtimes replied to goodtimes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
thanks guys, i'm sure that a tech can do it, actually they would always want to come in and see how my surgeon did it. Its so busy around the office that they can't and so i'm stuck with surgeon. what i really love about him and the staff is that they are really hands on, concerning. -
I am really surprised to hear:omg: (besides the ones who went to other countries) that your surgeons are not performing the fills.

that's really good. Though I have to give my surgeon much props!!! -
very good!!!! i really couldn't tell you if it was him or dr. leslie that performed the surgery but they were patient and they told you what they expected from you as far as losing weight. I was going to do the gastric about 3 years ago, got to be a chicken then all of a sudden the lap band came into being. I researched for a year even before I decided to do it and I am glad that I did.

Dr. Leslie & Dr. Ikramuddin Abbott Northwestern Hospital Minneapolis, MN -
Doctor overfilled me and refused to help me
goodtimes replied to sar's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm so sorry sar to hear about your situation. What I don't get is that since ins. cos. knows about the lap band and know that fills will be necessary then why won't they pay for all of it. that sounds like a bunch of crap to me. umph!!!! -
Needle Phobia and Fills
goodtimes replied to Sdaviscs's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Never heard this!!!???
goodtimes replied to Imonmyway7368's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually there was a movie that I saw before surgery about anethesia and what they actually do and why it was needed. I was of course a little concerned because when I got the tubing from having my daughter (c-section) my throat was killing me for a couple of days. But this time, all I had was a very dry throat. -
No, they will send you a bill in a couple of weeks
-
I know that's right. If you decided to base your decisions on what people say, u might as well be their clones.

I agree with lynn marie. there is always another day. I have to admit that I haven't been on my best behavior. I've come to realize that I can't worry about what I did yesterday or even the day before; and to be honest, I don't know what tomorrow will bring so I can't even worry about that as well. Doing it one day at a time is always best. But since you have all these people on here for support and you see the difference, you can't go wrong for tooo long. Good luck girlfriend!!!
