Insurance paying for tummy tuck?
goodtimes replied to Luu2008's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Good morning LuLu, Yes maam, insurance will cover that panni. I've just went to my main doctor and she was like u ready, there are codes that they have to put in order to submit to insurance. When I went to a consult, the price is $7,500. But I am hoping that insurance will pay a portion and then I will take out a loan to pay for the rest -

goodtimes replied to mom2trips06's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good morning mom2; oh no!!!! I am totally for the simple fact that exercising was the main factor in me losing the weight. My doctor, bless his heart stresses that to me all of the time. Plus, why wouldn't you want to work it!!! -

goodtimes replied to Jillbeme65's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi December; I agree with Kiki. I had mines done June, 2008 and I was told to come back every month afterwards and then every other month. Yes, go ahead and find one in the state you reside in, don't get discouraged and start again. as long as the port is in there, u can start to get those fills again. -
I know this has been addressed, but I am frustrated
goodtimes replied to mgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Mgirl; You shouldn't have to wait another 5 weeks that's way too long. Like the other people, it was 6 weeks after surgery. That is more than enough time. You have the right to call your doctor and let him/her know what's going on. Good luck to you. -
Hey Everyone; Its been a while since being on and I still haven't posted any pictures, but I will tell you my update. I am 10 pounds away from goal which is 150 lbs, my bmi is down hurray!!!! and i looks good:tt1:. I just wanted to tell the ones who are frustrated about slow weight loss. This is what you want to happen. I guess I can't stress that enough. I encourage you guys to keep going and exercise, exercise, exercise!!!!:thumbup:

June 2007 Bandsters
goodtimes replied to goodtimes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi guys, Wendy, thank you for your message. I gotta say people that I might sound like a broken record, but this tool has helped me and I know that it has helped other people. So again for the ones that are frustrated, just continue to keep going, its not an overnight fix, it will never be that way. Just get out there and do it!!! Also, its cold as dickens here in minnesota, with 6 months of winter so I am readying myself for spring, 2009, and that is something to be looking forward to. -
skinnyjenny08 aint so skinny and 08 is almost over!!!
goodtimes replied to skinnyjenny08's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Jenny; I'm sorry about your frustration. I have to tell you that I am a single mother, so its mostly easy. Try to get some time in there for yourself, if not you will start to feel that the band wasn't worth it. What kind of job do you have? if its a sit down one, girlie, get up, move around often, bring some weights. Good luck to you -
Are you completely happy with your lap band decision.
goodtimes replied to Jillbeme65's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I feel so much better that I decided to do it. I learned to except the fact that this was a tool and that I wouldn't lose weight the gastric bypass way!! (very quickly) That in fact it is about losing it at a pace. -

goodtimes replied to heidismiles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Heidi. I'm sorry to hear that you regret having the surgery. It will be a year june and although every bodies are different, you will see changes soon. Also, you haven't had your fill as of yet. I am going on my 7th fill come june 3rd, at first i didn't even know what the other bandsters were talking about when they said they are restricted. umph girlfriend, let me tell you, u will be taking back all that you said when those fills starts to coming. Stay encouraged girlfriend. -
Hi guys, its been quite a while but i am back. well it will be a year june 9th since having surgery. i am very satisfied with my slow weight loss. i've had people say that girl you look so healthy, your face doesn't look sulken in. So i went in for a consult for a tummy tuck. the surgeon is a cutie:tt1:. well he told me 2 ways he could do it. i think i will go for the scar to go up and down, that way, my sides will be pulled in. he said unless you want to wear a 2 piece bikini. i was like no:thumbdown: and the cost $7,500 and it will cost lesser if my insurance company pays for the panne.

New Bander and feeling frustrated
goodtimes replied to nce1025's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
nce1025-i am going in for my 6th fill on the 5th of feb. my doctor is very conservative as well. to tell you the truth i don't think I have a lot of cc's in me. he has been giving me .5 cc. but i am going to get him to give me 1 or more. so with all that, it does really depend on your body. one of the bandsters had gotten 8 fills before she really started to feel restrictions. -
skinny-jill i agree with you. some things are just best to be left alone until the right time come. question, so what would happen if you were serious, would you tell them then?

goodtimes replied to soozan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
soozan-hecky no!! i did my research when the band wasn't even thought of and it was just the gastric. I was just too scared with that. Plus I didn't want to lose that much weight in a short amount of time. So when they were talking about the lap band, i did research for a whole year. I never turned back on that decision. shoot i was kinda heated because i was supposed to have surgery on friday and my dr. changed it to saturday
