Wow Look at all the preggo's.Congrats to you! You can add me to that list as well. Due in March. St. Patricks day to be exact. I wish i had lost more weight. I lost only 62 pounds before getting PG. I have still100 to go. But I am really happy. As far as the High risk. My Doctor said I am considered High risk as well. Just because of the band. He has great knowlege of bariatric surgery. so Maybe it is something all DR.S do. I also had my band unfilled some. I am now at only 4 cc in a 10 cc band. I was just starting to get good restriction too.. Well good luck to you all Keep updating and feel weel.

WOW thats a lot. Can I ask who quoted that price to you? -
This is exactly how I feel. And why I am not here very much. There are some people who really do not know how to be supportive. Pointing the finger. Bringing out the quilt. I do that to myself enough I dont need any help in that department. There is nothing wrong with helping someone make better choices but pointing the finger and blaming is not the same thing as support.

You took the words out of my mouth. I got the band as a last resort because I could not " Diet" and Lose the weight I needed to . I am so tired of hearing You have to work with the band. Well I am trying to make better choices and do all the right things but I am just not that good. I need the band to work with me too. I have not been coming here too much lately because I feel things here have changed. I feel like I am a bad person for eating the cookie. Some of the posts here have really made feel like How dare I get Banded if I am not going to control myself and eat only what I am supposed to. Well gee If I could do that now. I would have been able to do it before. And then not needed to get the band.I never did post much. But I always looked to LBT for support through everyone here. I am sure there are others here who feel this way as about their bands as well. I am working on the mind part of this. I need my band to do the restriction part. Thank you for posting this. I t is so nice to know that I am NOT alone.

Hi everyone!. I am always hearing of the golfball pain in the chest that people get. I have not really ever gotten that. I get pain on my left side. just under the breast area. Anyone else get that. Or is something wrong. I get that pain if I eat too fast. I have the VG band and am filled to 6cc. I am not losing weight and am Hungry like an hour after eating. I take in about 1100 calories a day and I am hungry. But I get that pain on the left side. No PB's( never even had one) And I have slimed 2 times since banding. I am going in for another fill on the 28th to see if I will lose some weight after another fill. anyone have any advice or coments. I would appreciate it. Thanks

WOW! No one said losing their band was like losing a loved one. And i would imagine that unless you have lost your band after working so hard to get it. and pay out of pocket for it. You know nothing about what it feels like. I myself am lucky enough to still have my band. As well as my compasion for those that have had to lose theirs/ Did you mother never teach you the golden rule. If you do not have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Try it we all might like it!.

[quote name= If your band has eroded, get on with your life. Stop obsessing about your Band. You might consider having a gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy. Mark Pleatman MD www.laparoscopy.com/pleatman If only you had stopped typing before writing these words. You are Cold! How very sad that you felt the need to say this to people who have just lost their band, their chance to be free of obesity. I am shocked that you are a medical professional, and i use that word very losely, and are as uncaring and unprofessional as you just proved that you are. Amy

I for some reason am not doing well. I just had another fill and am filled up to 6cc in my 10 cc band. I have lost about 30 pounds. I am really upset about it. I have been eating about 1000 calories and am exercising now. ao I hope this will kick it into gear.. Other wise i am going to crawl under a boulder. Not a rock I woul not fit. Amy

I am not a fan of Aetna myself. It took me one year from the time of my first consult until I was approved for banding. I fought so hard. Called senators and surgeon General and everyone who would listen. No one could help. So I got a lawyer. That helped after 3 appeals I was approved. DO NOT GIVE UP! They can not tell you what kind of surgery you can have. If you are approved for RNY then you should be able to get the band. Keep fighting. They make it so hard in the hopes that you give up and go away. Don't forget the old saying " The squeaky wheel gets the oil" Squeak my friend, SQUEAK! Good luck to you Amy

Baste the turkey a few times and ta-da moist yummy trukey in minutes. well ok not minutes but it is very easy. LOL It makes the Turkey look really nice too and the gravy comes out great. Most of those lose inches wraps are for a temporary Loss. They help to detox. you but the inches you lose are mostly water. So like someone already said they are great if you want to fit into a nice dress for something but do not bank on them having lasting results. There are some great wraps out ther to do. I recomend getting a peppermint wrap. Usually places run those around that holidays. Chocolate wraps are nice too. Scrubs are really great if you want nice soft skin. Enjoy all that the spa has to offer! Amy
