    Stall Stall Stall

Weight fluctuations and stalls are normal, don't be discouraged. Your protein intake should be at a minimum 70-80 grams. Try increasing your protein intake and make sure you are drinking plenty of water....before you know it those pounds will be dropping off again!

    Wanting to cry

I recall being a bit teary eyed as well, your body is going thru a huge change.....it will get better and before long you will be jumping up and down with excitement about your weight loss! That was pretty insensitive of your sister in law....I would be having a little chat with her! You are doing great! Keep up the good work!
  5. Sure Michelle, I don't mind sharing at all! I believe that one of the biggest factors that has made me successful is tracking my food, fluid, and exercise. By doing this I find that if I fall off track I am able to hold myself more accountable for my actions. I exercise a fair amount, generally do at least an hour of cardio 3-4 times a week in addition to an hour to an hour and a half of hot yoga 2-3 times a week. The yoga has really helped me trim and tone not to mention it is a huge stress reducer for me. As far as what I am eating well.... for the most part I try to be good, but everyone has their slip ups right? I avoid pastas, breads, rice, and any other high carb content foods. My carbohydrate intake is generally about 40 grams/day and I try to eat at least 70 grams of protein in a day. I am a stickler for my fluid intake and I consume generally a minimum of 2 liters of water in a day. I avoid eating foods with high sugar content and for the most part stick to sugar free, if that is not an option I will not eat more than 5 grams of sugar in a meal. My average calorie intake is roughly 900-1000 calories a day. I am almost to my revised goal of 140 pounds, I know that to keep up my amount of physical exercise and to maintain 140# I will eventually have to increase my caloric intake which seems right now like it will be a difficult task. I stick to my vitamin regimen as well. I think my greatest challenge is getting past that little voice in my head telling me that I want junk food and that makes me want to eat even when I am not hungry. Also I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old + I work full time so fitting in all of my exercise is a challenge, but I have learned that if I don't I feel awful. Treating yourself is helpful too, get your hair and nails done.....makes me feel like a million bucks every time and it makes me want to try even harder to do the best I can. Good luck!
  6. Today marked my 6 month anniversary, I am proud to say that I am 100 pounds lighter than when I started this journey! I feel amazing and I am looking forward to the challenge of getting those last 15 pounds off. This surgery gave me a new start in life and I am loving it! I have gone from a size 22 to a solid size 8 and sometimes a size 6, size 2XL scrubs to a size Medium. I love my sleeve! Thanks for all of the support everyone!
  7. Congratulations! Keep up the good work!

  13. Gas pain is very normal, the best thing that you can do for yourself is getting up and moving. The more you are able to walk around the house the better your pain will get. As far as the fluid intake, just keep sipping. I found that if I had a small water bottle that I could refill and keep track of how many bottles I had it kept me focused on getting the fluid in. Trust me you don't want to end up back in the hospital for dehydration. You can do this, stay focused.
  14. You look amazing! Keep up the good work!
