I started this process in February. Everything is done. Surgery is next week. Today I was denied because my insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery. Is there anything I can do?????

They don't call my insurance company until they have all the papers. It's beyond a medical necessity at this point. If I don't have this surgery I will probably drop dead! In the long run it will only cost them more $$$ by me not being able to have this life saving procedure!! -

Called my surgeons office today to make sure bloodwork and EKG was good. They said they submitted to insurance and now I'm freaking out. Surgery is tentative for 7/3 and if I get denied I'll be devastated. Ughhhhhhh

I'm going next week to test for gastroparesis. I don't have any symptoms. I'm just frustrated bc I think the meal I ate on Sunday just sat in my stomach (heavy) and that's why food was in there. Now this is delaying everything!!! -
Just curious, at what point during the pre-op process did ya'll get the endoscopy? Beginning? Middle? End?

Ahhhh thanks for all the responses! This means the end is near! Endoscopy is Monday but still no surgery date.
