  1. I'm 14 months post-op and I've only lost 40 pounds (SW 232, CW 194). I exercise at least 4 times/week and try to get a good mix of cario and weights. The place that I KNOW I need improvement is diet. I know I'm getting more than 1200 cal/day in and I need to get below 1000 (according to my dr). BUT HOW? I'm a terrible snacker and work in an office where I'm constantly being bombarded with treats. Even when I track my calories in myfitnesspal, I still end up cheating half the time. PLEASE HELP! How do you guys keep your calories down? How do you avoid temptation? I don't want this whole journey to be a waste!

    Can't Break This Stall

Thank you all for the helpful responses! When I work out, I do three days of weights at the gym and an hour long hike/jog twice a week. The only thing I drink is water and my protein is good. I get about 80+ grams per day. I am definitely considering bringing my calories down and possibly backing up a little on the exercise too.
  3. I'm coming up on 6 months and I've only lost 30 pounds. That would be great, except the first 20 came off in the first 2 months and the next 5 came off in month 3 and 4. I haven't lost a pound in two months. I work out five days a week. I take in about 1200 calories a day. Every week I try to break things up by having a cheat day. I'll also try to have days where I only take in about 900 to 1000 calories to see if I can make the scale budge (I weigh every morning before I eat). Inches were coming off at first, but now even those have slowed drastically. This week I didn't lose any inches at all (I measure waist, bust, hips, tummy, arms, and legs every Friday morning). I started at 231 and am about 201 (on a weekly basis my weight fluctuates between 205 and 201). I'm so tired and frustrated and worried that I'm going to be stuck here forever. Has anyone experienced this kind of stall? If so, how did you break it? My nut hasn't been particularly helpful.

    7 week long stall....:(

I'm in the same position. My stall has been going for nearly 6 weeks. I'm just over 3 months out. I work out 4-5 days/week and get tons of protein and water every day. I try to oscillate between an immaculate diet and getting some carbs in to see if I can make the scale budge. Nothing is working. I've been going up and down between 208 and 211 for almost a month and a half. This sucks!

    Any March Sleevers?

Sleep position! I have been having so much trouble sleeping because I'm not a back sleeper. Also, when I lay flat it hurts my stomach. I only feel comfortable if I can sit up slightly. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey! It's a marathon, not a sprint. Right?

    Any March Sleevers?

I'm home, walking around, taking fluids well, no nausea, but plenty of pain and gas.

Last night I slept okay, not great. I kept dreaming about today. Now I'm just excited. I can't wait to get this done. Heading to the hospital in 10 minutes! I'll see you guys on the other side!

    Any March Sleevers?

Surgery is tomorrow morning at 930 (pacific). I'm anxious and excited and ready for the pre op stuff to become post op. Thank you a million times to all of you who have shared your knowledge and support. I don't think I would have been able to get through this without such an amazing support system!

    Any March Sleevers?

Presher87, I am in the same boat! My birthday is on the 27th and my surgery is on the 15th. Every year my bday is a big deal. I delight in forcing my family and friends to dress up and go out. This year, I have no plans. And I, too keep telling myself that this is my bday present to myself. Maybe I'll just postpone celebrating until I feel up to it.

    Any March Sleevers?

You guys! I started my pre op liquid diet today (day 1 of 3). Going to the bathroom nonstop and headachey and craving solid food. Also reminding myself that this is for a good cause. Surgery is Friday morning! I'm so excited and scares and nervous and happy! It's an emotional roller coaster.

    Any March Sleevers?

I got my date! It's 3/15! I was going to be a self payer, but since my endoscopy found a small hernia insurance will pay for most of the surgery. I just saved thousands of dollars! God sure does work in mysterious ways.

    Any March Sleevers?

I'm getting my date tomorrow or Tuesday. It will be in the next two weeks. It's crazy because my birthday is the 27th. This is like the best birthday present ever. I'm super nervous, but can't wait for it to happen!
