Any March Sleevers?

I'm in the 3 week stall phase right now. Two days and no weight loss. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but after loosing a pound a day since surgery it sucks. LOL. I'm with you this would be the time that I would be on my way to McDonalds for a big mac and fries and large coke. Now I CAN'T do it and thats what is helping me. I'm just trying to stay positive and keep drinking my protein shake and water this morning. Good Luck to everyone stalling. -

Any March Sleevers?

.. She WANTS me to get 80 grams a day. I know thats a lot right. I bought a few protein shakes including the Isopure today to try and find SOMETHING I like that has more protein than the Adkins that I was drinking. I started myself on a little food on my own. I ate 1/2 an egg made into egg salad and some refried beans with sour cream and cheese. I'm sick of being on liquids. Its been a month. My mother had gastric bypass in October so I'm using her as an example as to what to eat. Good luck to you. -

Well my Nut told me today that I wasn't getting enough protein in. She doesn't want to advance me to any food until I get my protein in. Stopped at The Vitamin Shoppe today on the way back from my Dr. appointment and sampled the Isopure. It wasn't that bad on its own so I bought a few flavors and will try it with some crystal light. Wish me luck cause I really want to advace to some soft foods. -

I just ate my first egg since being sleeved. Tomorrow is my two week follow up with my Dr. I figgure it was safe to try. I made it VERY soft and added a little mayo. It was like eating the inside of a deviled egg. It went down pretty good. A little pressure in the middle of my chest a few times. Needless to say I didn't eat much and my dog enjoyed the majority of it. As of today I've lost 20.5 lbs which includes my pre-op loss of 7 lbs. I'm extreamly happy with the progress so far. -

I hope it works for you. I fixed about a half cup to a cup of it and its taken me about an hour to "sip" it but Its going down easy. I wish you the same success I've had with this method. -

So I'm 11 days post op and I feel fantastic. I had a hard time getting my protein in but think I found a solution and wanted to share with anyone else struggling. I mix have Atkins Dark Chocolate protein drink and half skim milk. Its not too thick and no after taste. So far its working wonderful. Almost feels like I'm drinking chocolate milk. Well I guess I am in a way. I hope all March sleevers are doing well. Good luck to the last few that are being sleeved this month. -

No we live in New Roads about 1hour away near baton rouge. I wanted to use Dr. Cunningham but my insurance only paid for one in New Orleans. My mom received much better care than I did.

Dr. Cunningham did my mom's gastric bypass. She likes him a lot and received great care from his staff and the hospital. Good luck to you.

m doing great. My sleeve was one week ago.I don't even feel like I had surgery. I've lost 9 pounds this week. I'm having a hard time getting my protein in but doing great with my water. I'm not stressing about the protein. I figgure it will increase once I am able to eat regular food. -
