That might be my best bet. I have been so unprepared this week for dieting. I need to just cut it up too and have it ready. My week has been so frustrating. Thank you! I love cucumbers and they do fill me up.

I Am My Own Worst Enemy. Advice?
angelaet replied to Khloé's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First Congratulations on the 38lbs!! A great job. Secondly you are so not alone. I'm feeling the same way. I was feeling positive and then I hit this funk when I got my date Aoril 1st and the funk with my pre-op diet. I'm 42 and my parents still try to influence my decisions. My parents are against it and all they can say is, "what if you die? And I know each and everyone of us have either heard it or question ourselves. This is a huge life change for us and the fat person will disappear and we will be healthy and happy. We have to stay positive and keyp our eyes in the prize of healthy and happy. I wish you the best of luck! -
Vitamin C chewable or liquid will work. My only Concern about after surgery is the sourness of the chewable. I've started taking centrium chewable. I was told I could take a chewable flintstone if I needed. Which I may switch to because the centrium is 3 gum ball like things. As for freezing, I'm not sure how well it will work but I bought a vacuum sealer and I'm going to try it. It's worked well with other frozen meats like cooked pulled pork so I'm not sure. I'm going to try it out this weekend and let it stay frozen for a week. I will let you know how it tastes. Biotin, great I'll add it too. I'm also going to take vitamin A not from an animal. al Academy of Sciences. The recommendations are 900 micrograms daily (3,000 IU) for men and 700 micrograms daily (2,300 IU) for women. It fights infection like Vitamin C. I was only told to take a chewable multivitamin and then asked my nutritionist about vitamin c for healing. She said that was good to add. Ill ask about vitamin A as well. No reason to be sorry for the questions. I'm so nervous now I can't stand it.

I will share for sure. Im sure they will give you a manual. I received my patient education manual 2 weeks ago with all the info from my WLS Team. It reviews surgery, foods and follow ups. and mine is in detailed. I have my 2 hr pre-op appointment with my nurse and nutritionist on march 19. The manual has ideas of foods we can have. I'm buying my broths, Jello and 100%fruit juices. I'm freezing the juice to make my Popsicles for day 1-3. I'm stocking up on my Protein powder and Protein Powder for my Water. Days 4-7 for me is full liquids so Im going to make my Soups and freeze them so I have them ready. I found some great low carb recipes for my week 2-4 of puréed food. I'm having ham salad, chicken salad and egg salad made. I'm also stocking up on baby food in the squeeze pouches. I love them. Babies r us has them on sale 8 for $10. I love the fruit and veggie mixes. My toddles love them! I think the better prepared I am with my food the better I will feel I'm also taking between 1000mg to 2000 mg of Vitamin C before surgery. It helps with healing of tissues. I did this with my previous lap surgery for my gall bladder. It really helped me heal fast. Ill gather my puréed meat salad recipes if you are interested. They are low fat and low carb.

rmefone-Wow! Congratulations!! I have explained it once, but I guess I'm going to have to explain it again. I had a friend on Facebook make a comment about seeing me at the surgery center and my mom freaked out. She thought I had my surgery date already and did not tell her. I told them the first time that they can support me or not. I am making a decision to better my life and the life of my family. But every time they see I have lost weight on the pre-op diet she says, "See you don't need the surgery". As Will Smith said, "Parents just don't understand". Thank you for responding. I am going to remind them of what you said. Again Congratulations!!.

I'm having the same issues. I'm 42 and still have over protected parents. My mom is giving me lots of grief. My dad not as much. It all stems from the mortality rate. I was honest to let them know what I was deciding on doing. We need a great support system around us. When we have surgery. My husband is my cheerleader and on my side for sure. I just feel really upset that they cannot support me as I do this. They sent me places to lose weight, tried to pay me to lose weight but it all came down to them always bringing candies and cakes in the house. I've done practically everything they've asked if me while I lived under their roof. You would think they could support me. My goal was not to tell them but my jealous sister told them. I know I'm rambling it I feel so frustrated. I had my consult with the surgeon to discuss my choice of sleeve and I am awaiting approval from my insurance company. Thanks for listening.

Just got approved!
angelaet replied to lookingforwardnotback's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone! I had a meeting with my surgeon and weight loss team yesterday. I'm waiting on approval from insurance company. I'm really nervous and excited. I have told my close family what I'm doing but I have not gotten positive feedback. It's disappointing but I have my husband in my corner. Anyone else had this problem.
