I was banded on the 9th. Today was the first day I woke up with no shoulder pain....yay! Im still experiencing left side "runner cramp" type pain, but at least im getting relief even if its going at a slow pace. I can not wait to move up to soft foods.....i dont want to look at soup for a long ass time

Help me out local peeps. I have been having a terrible time. Banded on 12/9. I'm still experiencing some left shoulder pain, a side "runner cramp" type pain and I feel like I have so much pressure on my chest and upper stomach. Is this normal or did anyone experience this? I'm getting better each day, but the pressure and air bubbles in my chest are still full force. Advice? And I'm starving

Hi all, I had my surgery on Monday. I am on full liquids for 2 weeks. I'm very nervous because when I drink my soups, water, tea, etc.... I don't get a full feeling. I only eat a cup at a time, but shouldn't I feel some sort of fullness? I don't get my first fill until 6 weeks. I have a 2 week follow up prior, so I'm thinking maybe the fill should come sooner? Thoughts?

So encouraging :)Im 7 days out and have gained 2 pounds. Is this normal? Am i eating too much cream soupp at this stage? Confused?

Gas pain was the worst for me....everyone is different though I had my surgery 12/9 and I still have left shoulder pain. I walk to chores, etc so I'm not sure why it's still there? Everyone at there own pace I guess....good luck, you will do great!

I'm 7 days post op. I have to be on full liquids for another week, then soft foods before solids.....you are very lucky I'm getting nervous.....I had lost 13 pounds 2 days ago since my post op diet. Today I weighed in 2 pounds heavier I'm not too stressed over weight right now since this is the healing stage, but I can't deny I'm a little discouraged....

Stick? Like stick to the band and clog it up? Lol. Im sorry, i donyt mean to be funny, im so new at all this and i didnt even think that could hapoen eating pb. Ahhhhhh

Newbie here..... Just banded on Monday. I tried contacting my Dr office with this question with no response on Friday. I am currently on full liquids and allowed yogurt. Since I can't stomach plain yogurt I was wondering if I can add pb2 or natural peanut butter to the yogurt. Suggestions?

Hello my friends.....I am really having a hard time out of the gate ;( I have been having really bad left chest and shoulder pain (stabbing with a knife). It hurts worse when I take a deep breath in. I went and saw my surgeon today and he prescribed me 2 medications. Reglan/Metoclopramide and Dexilant. After reading about the Reglan, I really do not want to take this medication. Has anyone had any experience with this? My surgery was Monday.... Thanks all.

The pain is only located at the top left chest and shoulder area. It hurts constantly and worse when i take deep breaths. I too assumed it was gas, but most people i have read says its mostly gone by now 5 days since surgery..... and i am a total worrier

So with my symptoms, what is this drug supposed to accomplish? I have burping that hurts and constant left chest pain and feels like a knife stabbing me when I take a deep breath..... all focused on my left side. It shoots up into the shoulder and neck as well. Thank you so much for your input...

It's seems as though every time I swallow saliva I am swallowing air.... I can feel it move down as I swallow. I get horrible chest pain, but can't belch.... is this normal feeling 4 days post op? I still have really bad chest and shoulder pressure and pain....

I'm on full liquids, not clear to clarify I wish I liked yogurt, I just can't handle it Cold just feels so nice and I wanted a little something different. ... boo

Hi all, I am 3 days post op, surgery was Monday. Do you think low fat sherbert or sugarfree sherbert would be ok? Popcicles are just not doing it anymore.... My husband brought home some Blue Bell Low fat Raspberry and Strawbery sherbert. I has a couple spoonfulls and it was heaven. Not sure if I should continue having a small portion every now and then or not....what are your thoughts veterans

Im sure there is a lot of topics on this. I'm new to the site and couldn't really find an answer to my question. I was banded yesterday and have been in real pain which I did not expect. For those of you who have gone through this already how long does your gas pain and incision pain last? Thanks everybody for your kind words and support

I was banded yesterday. The gas pain and incision pain is terrible, worse than i expected So around day 4 I should expect some relief?

Ok, I'm sure there are about 100+ topics out there on this. I'm on day 1 of Clear liquids before my surgery on 2/22. I have never had Protein shakes before and the one I had today made me gag every sip. I need to hear your recommendations on some great recipes or brands. Again, I'm on the pre op clear liquid diet, so no fruit combinations. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks All
